Catholic Pillow Fight blog… in my cross hairs

I have been collecting interesting little references to this WDTPRS blog project.  Some of them are a stitch!

Today I found one of the best to date.

At the blog called Catholic Pillow Fight I found the following.  He is talking about the rather embarrassing comments of the liturgist of the Diocese of Winona:

(A poster child for this bad catechesis can be found at Fr. Z’s most excellent weblog1.)

At the very bottom of his blog entry, we find his footnote:

[1] I find myself at the end of prayer time adding a little extra: "…dear Lord, please keep my weblog posts out of Fr. Z’s crosshairs. I ask this in Jesus’ name who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever. Amen."

ROFL!

Sorry, Tony, I didn’t mean to scare you!

Here is a biretta tip just for you!

    Fr. Z,

Perhaps you could make a nice rendition of that prayer in Latin, should Tony want to use it;)

  2. RC says:

Let’s put him back in the crosshairs: doesn’t “I ask this in Jesus’ name” sound rather Protestant?

  3. Father Wilson says:

    I love his header quote:

“”When someone asks you ‘think about what Jesus would do’, remember that a valid option is to freak out and turn over tables”

So the sovereign Fr. Z has a chilling affect on discussion! Must we endure the tyranny of the learned in our democratic age?

Fr. Z, I know that you have probably already done this, but something that I use which does amazingly well to keep me abreast of things such as the motu are the Google Alerts, because they provide up to minute reports on new postings on any topic, they are free, and really really work. Cheers!
