    FrZ,

You can put that on your Amazon.com wishlist, but I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for the UPS man to deliver.

Oooh…I still think we all need to do the “Buy Father a Bugatti” Challenge.

Well, you’ll just have to schedule a trip back to Florida next January. There are two events on the same weekend: Ferrari Cavallino at The Breakers, and Supercar Weekend on Flagler Drive. You can Google to see photos of this past January. There were 3 Veyrons here, just outside my office, two Blue/Silver, one Red over Black.Excellent fit & finish. I love the engine-turned stainless steel on the center console.

I guess having no roof would make it easier to operate the ejection seat.

  5. Tim Ferguson says:

Bill, a convertible would also make it convenient for using the aspergillum during the Vidi Aquam.

  6. Tim: Sung very swiftly.

And at those speeds the water can really sting.

OK… a Black Red Bugatti! (or is it Red Black?)

“There must be a Black/Red version!”

Drive the Black - Drive the Red

How about an all black Bugatti with a white plate in the bottom front like a roman collar!!

I’m confident that when your people get with their (Bugatti) people, another $100K or so on the table will suffice for any custom paint job you care to specify before accepting delivery.

  12. You know, Father, as another option, a black and white version would match your cassock and collar. LOL.

I guess the actual picture you have above would be more appropriate for a Cardinal. (Could you imagine Cardinal Arinze speeding around in one of those? Given how fun loving his personality is, I actually could!) LOL

My comment on the Car, is at http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1276049332422169913, which is also on my blog.

    Ciao.

The autophiles keep saying it’s a limitation to not be able to store the top in the convertible itself. Obviously those peasants are unable to imagine a servant’s vehicle following up (however far behind it might be).

Are you sure, though, that you’re willing to sacrifice the 42 mph top speed just for an open top?

If you find the Veyron a little too expensive, save the extra fuel and get a sensible car:

The Veyron is still a little too slow for us pilots!

The Bugatti, dear Father, is very beautiful indeed but may be a bit boring in the end – what about something more adventurous, all of it of British invention – there is nothing in the world more exciting that that!

    Fr. Z,

My heart is with you on the veyron! When I lived in Ann Arbor I knew a writer from Car and Driver who took me on a few joy rides in some amazing cars (he also raced); boy, let me tell you, that guy could drive, and drive in ways you and I can’t imagine a sports car being driven! I recently, and sadly, sold my Porsche Boxter because, having four kids, it proved impractical and my wife viewed my wheels (and myself, by extension) with scorn, thinking I was in a mid-life crisis (at 35).
