   Good morning, class. I’d like to discuss our syllabus for this term.

   First unit will be “What not to do!” I’ll be drawing extensively on my personal experience. Second unit will be “Resisting the urge to choke the life out of annoying people with the power of your mind.”

   While I was teaching a seminar at the University of Dallas called “Post-metaphysical theologies,” my students called me the “defense against the dark arts professor.” I had designed the class especially to inoculate our theology majors and grad students against the prevailing postmodernism of most doctoral level theology depts. in Catholic universities.    Does anyone else think that certain Catholics whose names begin with K have been placed under the Imperius curse? It seems like a good explanation to me…
