Our friend John Sonnen of Orbis Catholicus has a great photo of the infulae of Card. Comastri’s miter. The pianeta ain’t bad either.

“This blog is rather like a fusion of the Baroque ‘salon’ with its well-tuned harpsichord around which polite society gathered for entertainment and edification and, on the other hand, a Wild West “saloon” with its out-of-tune piano and swinging doors, where everyone has a gun and something to say. Nevertheless, we try to point our discussions back to what it is to be Catholic in this increasingly difficult age, to love God, and how to get to heaven.” - Fr. Z

Apprently the good Cardinal’s episcopal motto is the same as Pope Benedict’s first encyclical!
Z, you’re a legend. Today I was in Velletri for a day trip to their diocesan museum. It poured rain and you know how brutal that train ride is from Roma Termini. Anyways, prayers were offered for you and your fine ministry.
The catalog for “Vincenzo Serpone’s” (the store on the Via del Mascherino near St. Peter’s) advertises in their catalog that they can embroider coats of arms onto the bottoms of stoles or the bottoms of mitres. I think they have a website.
Fabulous that is. Such lovely work.
