   Very Nice Layout. The muted blue background provides great contrast and is easy on the eyes. This layout is clean and less busy, which IMO is inviting to the reader.

   I like the fact that the black page background separates the muted blue blocks of text for each post. This helps posts to not run together.

    The changes had been advertised a while ago. We were all warned.

    That being said, the transitions are very helpful. Maybe this will help when browsing via a mobile platform, perhaps?

    When I changed themes I lost my stats. I wonder how it would affect iTunes and the PODCAzTs.

    A question: what happened to that photo you posted back in, I think 2007 was the date, of Papa Benedetto in rosacea vestments. Can’t find it there…

    I can’t tell whether we’ve had two new formats today or you’ve just reverted for the time being to the older format, it seemed like it looked different when I checked this morning from how it looks now. In any case, they all look fine to me! In that case, perhaps a change is best – for freshness.
