The sounds of Christmas silence

Yeah… well.. this is a bit more practical, I’m afraid.

Over the last few days I have had some problems with my big computer’s sound card.

Tonight it totally crashed.

I had to do a system restore and…

… it worked and…

now USTREAM doesn’t crash my browser any more either!

So… I may be able to get into some interesting things in a while.

Just saw you saying Mass. It was wonderful to see and perhaps next time we can have live sound as well?

    Thanks Father Z!

You might have a driver issue, if it does that again, uninstall your sound drivers and reinstall them from your computer’s manufacturer website. Merry Christmas!

Being a person who deals with the microsoft OS daily by trade, sometimes the system restore actually is useful.

Probably some sort of DLL coruption, or something. Glad to see you got it working. I know I have had far worst nightmares, and it always seems to happen when you least expect it. I cant tell you the servers I work with, they only seem to have quirks when either clients are executives are around to see it.

Have a Blessed and Merry Christmas Father. Your broadcast of the vigil mass helped me get past a vigil N.O. mass that was less then liturgicaly correct, to put it politely. Surprisingly the priest was a friend of mine, and I never expected him to let the circus go on that did. You have a great site here. It gives those of us who are orthodox (and you can be traditional or liberal and be orthodox) something to keep us running the good race. Merry Christmas Father. I hope you are well. I know sometimes holidays can be lonely for Priests. Know that you do good things for all of us faithful. God Bless

  6. patrick: Thanks for that!

    Dear Fr. Z:
    Thanks for Midnight Mass.
It is tough to get to this Mass with young children.
We’re going to a Solemn High Mass (MISSA IN DIE)This morning at 10:00 AM (EST). We will remember you in prayer at this Mass.

Vincenzo, the sound I heard came from the radio. I think it would be nice if we could hear Fr. Z and not Christmas carols. Of course, I knew what was being said when it was said so it’s not so much a problem as it is an experiental one.
