   Oh, heaven. My mother-in-law developed that. I don’t know what to say immediately, but prayers are forming within. I had a terrible time when she died, it hurts to remember.

   But: she was a wonderful woman, and I pray for people the way she learned to. We were sitting around the kitchen table at her house once, and she told me about how she had been praying for the black sheep of the family: “Oh, Lord, please let him get a job.” and she imagined the Lord talking to his angels, “Oh, poor Emilia, she wants him to have a job so bad. I was going to let him win the lottery, but she wants him to get a job, so I guess I’ll do that. It’s too bad, he won’t keep it, but that’s what she wants. I was thinking of having him marry a rich woman, but no Emilia wants him to have a job, so that’s what I’ll do.”

   So, as she told me she did, I will pray that God’s best outcome be achieved. And chuckle as I remember her. Amen.

    O Jesus in the Holy Eucharist, look with merciful love on the favor we ask through the intercession of Your servant Ven. Pauline Jaricot, as we pray for the complete and permanent healing of Fr. Paul from pulmonary fibrosis. We humbly beseech You to glorify her by granting us this petition if it is for Your greater honor and glory.

    Yes, I will pray for Fr. Paul. Just an reminder; Ven. Pauline Jaricot was healed by my favorite saint: Saint Philomena; truly a wonder worker!

    I short prayer to St. Bernadine, who is patron saint of those suffering from ailments of the lungs or chest and those suffering with respiratory problems can be said for the good of Fr. Paul. God Bless him.
