Thanks for passing along this wonderful resource, Fr. Z.

Brilliant resource which a priest friend passed to me some while ago.

The video “One day in the life of a Bavarian Pope” (link on right menu) is a must see. It was made in the first year of the pontificate. Quite charming.

It is also a useful site for seeing some of the more splendid vatican liturgical ceremonies, and allows one to hear the unique sound of the Capella Sistina – this latter a dubious blessing!

I echo Josephus’ comment. I have just watched ‘A day in the life of the Pope’ before seeing his comment. It is a charming insight into what goes on ‘behind the scenes’ as it were. Thank you Fr z for directing us to this site. It is also good for attempting to understand the Italian language too.

Also, the fellow who is doing this is Russian. You can see that from some of the links on his page.

It’s great to have access to the footage of the Inauguration Mass – such a joyous occasion.

Man, I never get tired of watching that “Habemus Papam” video. Maybe the single most thrilling and purely joyful moment of my young life.
