Congratulations to the newly ordained Fr. Francesco Ramella.
From his First Mass in Dolcedo, Italy.

“This blog is rather like a fusion of the Baroque ‘salon’ with its well-tuned harpsichord around which polite society gathered for entertainment and edification and, on the other hand, a Wild West “saloon” with its out-of-tune piano and swinging doors, where everyone has a gun and something to say. Nevertheless, we try to point our discussions back to what it is to be Catholic in this increasingly difficult age, to love God, and how to get to heaven.” - Fr. Z

And, all the more wonderful, he’s a DIOCESAN priest! Brick by brick!
And the purple in photos (another blog) show plenty of prelates (apologies for the unintended alliteration) in attendance.
Evidence of the EF slooooooowly becoming part of our ordinary worship. Perhaps, in a decade or so the EF won’t be so E any longer.
Is there a reason why a newly ordained priest would already have the read sleeves of a prelate in his alb?
sorry I meant to type RED
C: see the combox on the New Liturgical Movement for more about the red underneath the sleeve lace. It is allowed and was common.
Beautiful photo. Anyone know the name of the church?
Blessings,
Marianne
