At least 150 were in attendance [At Blessed Sacrament Church] assisting in offering the sacrifice (counting by Communion) at 7 am at Blessed Sacrament church. After decades of waiting, it is altogether fitting that God so directed that the Mass of the Ages return to a people who long suffered it’s absence on the feast of St John Bosco.
We are so blessed to have Bp Lucas as our shepherd. His generosity, orthodoxy, concern for his people, and pastoral dedication are an inspiration, and all dioceses would be blessed to have a bishop cut from his cloth.
The picture isn’t much (not even the iPhone can capture the greatness of the major elevation), but I counted several others taking photos with superior cameras.
You’ve gotta wonder about the guy with the pink hair.
After all… it’s a big Church!

I am not sure whom you are speaking of. I see someone in a red hat, a balding man with white hair through which you can see pink skin, and a woman with short hair colored some sort of blondish. At least that is how I perceive it.
There was a man I knew in college who would color his hair every week: green, yellow, pink, etc. He was a fan of the EF and one day went to the SSPX Mass. The priest there refused him communion even though he had never see the guy before. That seemed scandalous to me, but maybe he thought that it was just as disrespectful to come to Mass with hair like that as to come to Mass wearing shorts and a tank top.
A TLM in Springfield? Wow. Did the Simpsons attend? I think Homer and Bart have converted to Catholicism in one of the episodes.
I know most of the people who comment on this site don’t quote scripture, but it seems to me that in the Gospels, Jesus welcomed a lot of people who were outside the mainstream – Roman soldiers, tax collectors, Samaritans, etc. Mayber He would have welcomed people who dye their hair.
richard is right. but that is a hat on the left side of the picture, there are gathers at the top. and a rolled up thing that goes over the ears. looks warm.
I had to laugh out loud when the ‘pink hair’ remark as I have white hair that is really thinning, and when in a picture it kinda shows up that it’s ‘pink’looking, yea it does, give me a couple more years of losing my hair, and I will be almost bald,and thats not too attractive for a lady. Ha, Ha,
