    Laura,

    Social networks are places where you can interact with a group of people who share a hobby or other interest. Examples of social networks are Twitter, Facebook, Linked In, Meetup, Ravelry, MySpace, Plurk, and so on…..

    They’re the latest (large-scale) wrinkle in the evolution of personal internet use…

    First there were bulletin boards, then forums and comment boards, then ….. =D
