A Happy and Blessed Father’s day to you Father Z!!
Happy Fathers’ Day!! Have a blessed one!
Happy Father’s Day! I took the example from the young woman on the plane and wished the priest today (order priest helping our fairly happy-clappy parish) Happy Year for Priests. He was rather surprised by that. I wonder if he even knew it was the Year for Priests. Thanks for conveying the idea with your story.
Happy Fathers’ Day, Fr. Z! (and happy Year of the Priest! You and all priests are in my prayers.)
Happy Father’s Day to you!
It must be a good sign – the site selling children’s Mass kits is out of stock of most items!
Happy Father’s Day, Father. At Mass this morning (St. Stephen the First Martyr, FSSP, Sacramento) the sermon was lengthy, educational and inspiring. Father read most of Pope Benedict’s letter for the Year of the Priest and expounded on St. Jean Vianney throughout. We heard what it means to be a priest. There would be no Eucharist if there were no priests. God gave priests only, the power to bring Christ to the human family. No president, no king can do it. No priest should ever get complacent and just go through the motions at Mass. The gift he is given is too precious. The honor is too great. The responsibility is awesome (not his words). But he told that St. Jean Vianney had not to say a word, but only had to let people see him at prayer and at Mass to convert souls. This holy priest is a gift to our parish. He is an O.M.V. who wanted to associate himself with the FSSP but keep his vows. He is a wonderful confessor and spiritual advisor. His preaching is exceptional. He has a quiet but compelling voice and one never goes away unsatisfied.
