“This blog is rather like a fusion of the Baroque ‘salon’ with its well-tuned harpsichord around which polite society gathered for entertainment and edification and, on the other hand, a Wild West “saloon” with its out-of-tune piano and swinging doors, where everyone has a gun and something to say. Nevertheless, we try to point our discussions back to what it is to be Catholic in this increasingly difficult age, to love God, and how to get to heaven.” - Fr. Z

I’ve loved that St. Peter’s webcam for years now. The sound is what does it for me. The distinctive bells of St. Peter’s Basilica chiming every 15 minutes, the fountains, and even the occasional sound of tourists and Roman traffic. Gotta love it!
I had to do a double-take. I thought that the picture was of a guitar effect stomp box! :-D
I just tried them out:
Weather: “Fuori servizio dalle 01:55:14.”
View of St. Peter’s: “Servizio attualmente non disponible.”
Yep, it makes me feel like I’m right back in Italy!
john: LOL! Right on schedule.
Tutto apposto!
Does anyone know how someone living in the US can access CENTRO TELEVISIVO VATICANO (Vatican Television) directly through satellite? I have read that they carry many liturgies including Vespers that are not significant enough to be carried on other networks like EWTN.
My browser’s not big enough to see this-i have a laptop.
I thought that the weather report would be sung in Gregorian chant! Now that would have been funny!

Ohio Annie, this looks like the information I was looking for, but it seems that the information in the document may be more suited for a content provider or satellite company. I will investigate.
On my iPhone there is a basic weather app. The second location I set up, after my own, was Vatican City.
