I won’t show you photos of what I had for supper.
It was great and with good company.
We ate at Ottimo on 24th, close to the parish, St. Vincent de Paul’s.
I recommend this place. The chef, Salvatore, is a great fellow and good cook.

“This blog is rather like a fusion of the Baroque ‘salon’ with its well-tuned harpsichord around which polite society gathered for entertainment and edification and, on the other hand, a Wild West “saloon” with its out-of-tune piano and swinging doors, where everyone has a gun and something to say. Nevertheless, we try to point our discussions back to what it is to be Catholic in this increasingly difficult age, to love God, and how to get to heaven.” - Fr. Z

The chef/owner of Ottimo is the real deal having been considered one of the best chefs in Naples before moving fairly recently to NYC.
Father,
Since you’re in the area perhaps you’d like to visit Chelsea Markets? They have a wide variety of specialty food retailers. And while you’re over there you could take a stroll on the High Line, a former elevated rail line that is being converted into a unique park space.
You should take in some fine pizza while you’re in the city as well, Father; perhaps Lombardi’s in Little Italy?
P.S. I still want to know what the name of that French place is, Father!
Looks good, but way out of my price range. I didn’t realize priesthood salaries supported such pricey restaurants.
