The musical interlude

The other day when returning home, exiting the Clapham South tube station, I was suprised to hear Gregorian chant over the PA.

Today, on entering, I enjoyed the opening strains of the Beethoven 9th, 1st movement.

This may not be typical of all the stations on the line.

I wonder what the station manager’s story is.

I shall have to ask.
