While I have been writing an article and fixing a computer and doing may other things, the feeder has been SUPER busy today.
The Goldfinch Eating Team is DEMOLISHING socks full of thistle seed.

In this photo there are two immature male Red-breasted Grosbeaks.
The males are scarce right now. I have lots of females. I haven’t seen a mature male Grosbeak for a long time.

The Orioles are at present locked in a cage match with the wasps, which also want that jelly.
I saw a hummingbird chase one around yesterday.
I have been at my desk a lot in the last couple days, and the birds have provided a great source of good distraction and refreshment of soul.
