“This blog is rather like a fusion of the Baroque ‘salon’ with its well-tuned harpsichord around which polite society gathered for entertainment and edification and, on the other hand, a Wild West “saloon” with its out-of-tune piano and swinging doors, where everyone has a gun and something to say. Nevertheless, we try to point our discussions back to what it is to be Catholic in this increasingly difficult age, to love God, and how to get to heaven.” - Fr. Z
Thank you for all the great podcasts and the hard work you put into them. What a gift to us! I don’t know how you manage to do all that you do, but you are appreciated!
Yeah father, I really love your podcasts. Please keep them coming!
Fr. Z.,
I always enjoy your dissection of the prayers and the music that accompanies your podcasts. Personally, having been a literature major, those Don Camillo’s are great! Please keep them coming. They are both edifying and hilarious. My kids have enjoyed my retelling of the stories too.
I have all 91 on my iPod with room for many more!
I have downloaded and listened to all but the last two. I know you look at the stats
and can see the activity, but I wanted to also let yu know how much I appreciate them.
The flow is usually great, and I particularly like the musical interludes. As a former
radio broadcaster and instructor I have to tell you that your Podcasts are hands down
better than most of what my students put together! They are very polished.
Keep up the good work.
Guareschi wrote a letter to Don Camillo which was published on the newspaper “Il Borghese” on the 19th May 1966. With this letter he expressed his huge disappointment in the new Mass which he called the ‘Ye ye Mass’ and his suffering in seeing all the altars being dismantled …
I haven’t been successful in finding a copy in English, I’ve found the original version here:

Your podcasts I’m sure help a lot more than you think.
This past weekend I had to fly twice and I have major anxiety attacks about flying so…I took Fr. Z’s last two podcasts on the plane with me and the rosary. Our Lady and you kept me great company through the flights, and charitable to my neighbors who would not sit down and stop making little yelping sounds everytime the plane shook a little. Very comforting to hear a priests voice and have Our Lady’s company in the rosary as well.
Thank you!
