During 1st Vespers of the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, with the singing of the Te Deum for the end of the year, the Holy Father said, in my translation:
Dear brothers and sisters, Rome needs priests who will be courageous heralds of the Gospels and, at the same time, will reveal the merciful face of the Father. I invite young people not to be afraid to respond with a complete gift of their own being to the call that the Lord extends to them to follow the road of the priesthood or of consecrated life.

What a beautiful, clear invitation! I have made a New Year’s resolution to pray more for more vocations. Lord, send us many good priests!
I’d take up the invitation, but I’m already married and the rule is not in my favor. I am aspiring, however, to the Diaconate.
Been thinking about it again for a while. Hopefully I have found the place, now the incidentals need to be put into line.

While watching the Mass from St. Peter’s this morning on the feast of the Mother of God I found something very ironic. The Holy Father used the phrase ineffable prayer in his homily about, among other things, peace and the care of creation while seminarians from Erie Pa. served at this Mass. [ROFL!] I wonder how many of the tens thousands of faithful hearing this had a problem understanding their Pope using a word that Bishop Trautman from Erie Pa. contends is to hard for “John and Mary Catholic” to comprehend?
As you can see on this Vatican link our Popes frequently use the word ineffable.
