Philadelphia Blognic – Sunday 21 Feb – 4-6 PM

[uc]

The best time for the Philadelphia Blognic II is Sunday, 21 February, in the afternoon from 4:00-6:00 pm.

I made a slight change to accommodate those who want to attend Vespers at Mater Ecclesiae in Berlin, NJ.

The same location as last time: Irish Pub at 20th & Walnut in the Rittenhouse Square area.

That’s the score!   I hope some of you will be able to attend.  Happily it is a Sunday, so we will be able to relax a bit.

But Father, we’re having Vespers at 2pm next Sunday at Mater Ecclesiae. Perhaps a blognic on site and a packed house for Vespers?

Great sermon today, by the way; sorry, I didn’t get a chance to say hello.

    Father Z,
Thanks for approving my registration as I know my dear friend Father Pasley is keeping you busy!!

Yes, next week is Vespers at our dear Mater Ecclesiae and if the roof holds up (Please Lord) over Bishop DeMarzio Hall, it would be terrific to have you do your blognic right here at ME. Ask Father Pasley if BYOB is ok so we could have a blognic with pints!!(and cigars :)

  3. Rob Cartusciello says:

    Will be there.

  4. Bryan says:

I’m in. If y’all will have me..;)

  5. Bryan says:

Well…I am reading at 12PM mass on Sunday…so anytime after 3…

  6. Animadversor says:

National Mechanics (http://nationalmechanics.com) looks very interesting; it would seem that the building was designed by William Strickland, the famous Greek Revival architect.
I should favor a quarter to four in the afternoon.

  7. Animadversor says:

Ought I upon arrival to mention the name of the group, or just hunt around for likely suspects?

I have planned to walk down Walnut Street from the Hyatt at Penn’s Landing to the pub—a longish walk, but I don’t mind—but if anyone should think that inadvisable, I should be glad to know.

I shall be in Philadelphia from Saturday morning, so I shall have some free time until the Event, so if any Philadelphians could suggest interesting things to do in the area that might not be well-known, I should be obliged.

    Finished hijacking now. Permultas gratias.

  8. Animadversor: There is always the find Museum of Art.

  9. Please Chime in if you are going to come, so we know if this should take place. Thanks!

  10. Sorry. I’d love to make the drive down but we have Vespers here at the Shrine in Raritan at 4:00, PM.

  11. JohnMa says:

    Chimed in.

  12. William Tighe says:

    Probably coming.

  13. Animadversor says:

Thank you very much, Reverend Father, but now I find that I cannot come, and I am truly disappointed. Perhaps the next one that’s in New York, where I live.

It would be very nice, sometime, to have a joint blognic of WDTPRSers and the readers of some other blog which has a different point of view. Well, maybe nice isn’t the word, but possibly good might be.

In any case, fraternal and affectionate greetings to those who will attend. I hope you have a great time.

  14. Matthew in Vancouver says:

You guys should all be able to watch Canada beat the USA in the final game of the round robin!

  15. Erik P says:

I would like to come and meet Father Z and everyone and network, is this invitation open to anyone??

  16. Rob Cartusciello says:

    Will be there, Pater.

  17. I will actually be able to make it this time. Deo gratias!

  18. Safe journey to those making the trip!

  19. Erik: Of course. Anyone who wants to come can come.

  20. Tina in Ashburn says:

Fr Fessio is speaking tonight at Sabatino’s Institute of Catholic Culture down here in No. Va. We’ll have to comfort ourselves with that instead of a beer w Fr Z. http://www.instituteofcatholicculture.org/

Father I hope you’ll be in our area sometime.
