Doesn’t this just fit the news today, on so many fronts?

    1. You hit the nail on the head there, Fr. Z. One could replace that little spider with lots of different things..a devil with a pitchfork, maybe?

Forgive me, but I just pictured another cartoon. In the desert, ala Roadrunner cartoons, Nancy Pelosi stars as the Roadrunner, standing high up on the edge of a cliff, accompanied by
the squishy Dems. Teetering on the edge of the cliff is a huge crate (or anvil) marked Obamacare. Hundreds of feet below is a crowd, us, the USA (I guess we are joined by Wile E. Coyote). Nancy Roadrunner begins to bat her eyes with wild excitement, creating a strong gust of wind, and the crate/anvil begins to tip and tilt downward..bit by bit..(hear it creaking..?)

Whew..sorry, I’m done now. Prayers to St. Joseph for your safe travels and try not to think about those things that start with C and end with burger.

    2. Too bad I can’t paste a picture of a golden calf with the caption “Healthcalf”.

      God help us all.

    3. Hey, I like your analogy, wanda! I always laughed my head off at the Roadrunner and Wile E. Coyote’s antics-especially when the anvil fell and conked him on the head!

But seriously-may God help us all.

    4. Let’s pray much today and fast for God’s help and mercy on our nation. Guide our leaders, Lord God, at this critical time in our nation’s history.

      God help us, Amen.
