TO ARMS! TO ARMS! Pro-abortion youth document proposed to UN General Assembly

TO ARMS WDTPRSers!

I received this via e-mail and present it for your opportune knowledge and consideration.   This needs action.

Dear Colleague,

Radical pro-abortion youth have written a document that the UN General Assembly is considering accepting. This would be disastrous. The document was written under the careful scrutiny of the UN Population Fund and International Planned Parenthood Federation. It calls for all the usual craziness: abortion on demand, comprehensive sex education…all for kids!

A group of smart young people have drafted a counter document that we will present to the UN later this month or early next month. This document will show the UN that radical youth DO NOT TALK FOR ALL YOUTH!

In order to make the necessary big splash, we need as many signatures as we can get. We need you to please sign THIS document right now and then send this note to everyone in your address book? Will you put this email up on Facebook? Will you circulate it among all of your family and friends.

I am often asked what you can do to help our cause at the UN. Here is something you can do that will make a HUGE DIFFERENCE!

UN delegations have requested our help in countering the radical youth document. Your signature on THIS document will help good pro-life delegations fight back against the radical pro-abortionists who want to undermine the morals of our children.

Act now and sign THIS document and then send this email to everyone you know.

Time is running out. We need 50,000 names in three weeks!

Sincerely,

Austin Ruse
President/C-FAM

  1. Incaelo says:

    Signed it.

It’s vital to let the world know that the loudmouthed radicals do not represent any kind of majority.

  2. lizaanne says:

Does anyone have a link to where I can read what this group is trying to propose? I’m not questioning Mr. Ruse’s integrity, I just like to read for myself before I sign things.

  3. John 6:54 says:

I always question these sign it petitions that require email. You automatically are on a list when you sign and my trust of internet promises of not using the list are suspect at best. If your not going to use the list for future emails then why do you need my email? Although this may be for a good cause there needs to be an alternative to providing email addresses to be counted. I can come up with 1000s of bogus emails and sign the petitions if I wanted. I vote for using a captcha instead of an email address.

  4. Jerry says:

@lizanne – “Does anyone have a link to where I can read what this group is trying to propose?”

Fr. Z’a post contains a link to the document they are collecting signatures to support. What additional description are you looking for?

  5. wanda says:

Signed and spreading the word, ‘TO ARMS!’

  6. SimonDodd says:

Incaelo, do you suppose that the U.N. cares whether or not “the[se] loudmouthed radicals … represent any kind of majority?

  7. lizaanne says:

Thanks Jerry – I’ll look again, I must have missed it.

  8. lizaanne says:

Ok – I must be a complete idiot – but I don’t see a single link that takes me to what the pro-abort group is proposing. What am I missing here? All the links take me to the C-FAM site.

I want to read THEIR petition to the UN. Not the C-FAM stuff.

    ???

  9. Jerry says:

Sorry Lizanne. I misunderstood what you were looking for.

A more extensive statement from C-FAM is located at: http://www.c-fam.org/publications/id.1697/pub_detail.asp

The pro-abort statement is located at: http://www.c-fam.org/docLib/20100908_ngoStatementWYC2010_eng.pdf

  10. Supertradmum says:

I signed the over-thirty support statement.

  11. “We demand
Governments and ministers responsible for youth, ministers of finance, ministers for development, ministers of family and gender issues and other decision?makers with impact on our daily lives, to undertake all the measures necessary to recognize young people as subjects of rights and to guarantee the full exercise of these rights, aiming at equal conditions by taking into account different characteristics such as age, ethnicity, gender, sexual preference, urban and rural backgrounds, disabilities, etcerea”

Which is worse/funnier, that liberal-secularist ideology can be reduced to etcetera, or that they spelled it incorrectly?

  12. One of those TNCs says:

UHMMM…isn’t this a little late? I Googled “World Youth Conference 2010″ and found this on their web site:

“…From 24 to 27 August, Mexico City will host the World Youth Conference…”

Sounds to me like it’s over. Am I missing something?

  13. IntroiboAdAltareDei says:

@ One of those TNCs – The conference in Mexico City is over… but the document coming from that conference has yet to make its (full) impact w/ the U.N. General Assembly. Time matters. Others have provided extra links to more details regarding this already, in the earlier comments associated with this post.

  14. Incaelo says:

SimonDodd: I don’t know if the UN cares about that. Does that influence whether or not we should let our voice be heard?
