These 5 minute daily podcasts for Lent are intended to give you a small boost every day, a little encouragement in your own use of this holy season.
Today is Tuesday in the 3rd Week of Lent. The Roman Station is Santa Pudenziana, a fascinating place, perhaps the site where Peter said his first Mass in Rome. The Cardinal of this very ancient titulus is the Archbishop of Cologne, Germany, His Eminence Joachim Card. Meissner. A link to great photos. A really interesting description of the ancient mosaic, one of the oldest and most important depictions of Christ in Rome.
A hint at the thought: “A Moslem who comes to a Catholic Church can carry stuff, sing, clap and do stand-stands for what’s its worth, but he receives none of the graces that the baptized deaf woman in her wheel-chair receives because she is truly “there” in heart, mind and soul.”
