This is one of the things I dealt with this weekend.

Inflation or alignment at the root of this? [How about bad luck?]

Priestly attire? [Tread lightly with puns!]

@Fr. Z: I had it two weeks ago Father! Although I was able to drop my car off on a Friday. I ran over an Allen wrench in the road, had a slow leak on the way home, and ended up replacing all 4 tires for a large sum. Sorry to hear you did the time at the tire store waiting room.

  4. APX says:

Tell me about it. I (okay, my dad) changed the front axle assemblies on my car Saturday, but whoever put my summer rims back on over-tightened them, and one of the wheel nuts snapped off in the process of taking the wheels off. Fun fun fun!

It looked to me as if the meter maid went berzerkers on your tire … or a local gang “tagged” you.

Yet another example of Fr. Z’s imitiation of our Lord. Cf. Mark 7:24a.

  7. benedetta says:

Destruction of property gets very tiresome doesn’t it. I hope that you receive an increase in donations Fr. Z.

  8. benedetta: No one destroyed it, in the sense of vandalism. It was an old tire which just gave out on one side.

  9. About a year ago I had a similar thing happen to me. One of my tyres gave out at about 40mph (and accelerating). Interesting bit? I ride a motorcycle. Having got it safely to the side of the road I then truly explored the meaning of ‘Giving Thanks’

  10. benedetta says:

Relieved to hear that Fr. Z.

The Licensed Fool, That is a scary one. Belated relief to you too.

Those are some bald tires! I hope you’ve got 4 better ones now. [They were worn, but not anywhere near bald. I do have good tires now.]
