I have written before about the Sisters who sell soap. And worthy soap it is too.

The Soap Sisters have been busy in our expanded soap department. We very much enjoy having enough space to work without crashing into each other with buckets of hot soap!
It’s hard to believe that November is almost upon us and that means that you are all beginning to think of shopping for Christmas!
We have 2 new products available from our gift shoppe. The Theme Scented Gift Collection is a selection of Seigadou Soap Products brought together in a decorated cello bag and topped with a smart bow! We are offering 6 varieties: Cloister Garden, Lavender, Lemon Verbena, Fresh Linen, Ocean Rain, Sandalwood and Natale. Each Gift Collection comes with: 1 Room Spray and 1 Seignadou Soap of one of the 6 fragrances just mentioned, 1 hand creme (unscented except for the Lavender Collection), 1 lip balm and 1 hand crafted wooden soap dish.
We have been making these Gift Collections for quite awhile for friends and local soap sales and are happy to be able to now offer them to you!

I tried a couple of their soaps, btw. I think it is hard for men to get excited about soap. I am not excited about soap. But I can say this: it is good soap and women will like it.

I can’t get excited about soap, but I can get excited about helping these Sisters out. My wife follows their blog religiously (ha!), and even sent them cookies during her Support Vocations Personal Bake-Off. I think they are exceptional examples of what the religious life could be if the hippies would just go away and let the real Catholics take over.

Hamburglar…I’ve ordered several scents: Lavendar, Lemon Verbena, Eucalyptus, and Natale. Lavendar and Eucalyptus smell like you would expect. Lemon Verbena has a delicious smell reminicent of Lemon Chiffon pie. I’ve ordered Natale as Christmas gifts the teachers and administrators at my children’s school. The soap has an inviting warm pine smell to it which invokes memories of hiking in the pine forests of Yosemite. All the soaps I’ve ordered lather up quite well and do not dry out the skin. I recommend them highly!

Thanks for the reminder about the Soap Sisters. I’ve ordered jars of the new hand cream as favors for my daughters at our Thksg. table. Each year I look for something small and unusual, but this year’s gift will have the additional attraction of thanking the good nuns for their lives of prayer which benefit us all.
