Obama receives a key endorsement

Hey, this is a coveted endorsement!

O’Grady: Castro Endorses Obama

The dictator’s daughter gets a visa to make speeches here while the regime continues to hold an American hostage.

President Obama has received yet another endorsement, this time from the daughter of Cuban military dictator Raúl Castro. Mariela Castro proclaimed her support for the sitting president 10 days ago, during a visit to the United States. “I believe that Obama needs another opportunity and he needs greater support to move forward with his projects and with his ideas, which I believe come from the bottom of his heart,” she said in a CNN interview in New York.

I know that Hugo Chavez has health problems, so we can cut him a little slack.  He’ll endorse The First Gay President pretty soon.

The first gay President has a lock on the communist vote!

  2. lucy says:

The daughter of the top family in a communist country…. That’s really where I want to get my political views. Ineffable.

  3. Phil B says:

I believe that qualifies as an act of war.

  4. Fortiter Pugnem says:

That’t right. They come from the very, very bottom of his dirty little heart. *shivers*

  5. Johnno says:

Haven’t the fringe American Communist parties also voiced support for Obama and his policies for awhile now? They are obviously seeing things most people are trying to purposely avert their eyes from. Communism is making a comeback! Don’t be fooled by it’s democratic or republican or new age disguises! It’s the same old errors and heresies under new forms and new ideologies! History repeats itself because we fail to learn the lessons of history! God warned us! The Pope and Bishops must consecrate Russia ASAP! The more time that passes on, the more difficult it becomes to do.

Well he can kiss the Cuban-American vote goodbye. I don’t know how many communists there are in the USA but i do know that the number of their victims, Cuban, Czech, Polish, Russian Chinese, Vietnamese etc… who are now GRATEFUL U.S Citizens far outnumber them, and we REMEMBER.

  7. Anchorite says:

Indulgentiam, you bet he won’t! He is not getting my Russian vote. We didn’t leave USSR to live in Obamastan.

  8. PostCatholic says:

Interesting time to neglect why she said “given the choices I prefer Obama.” Mariela Castro Espin is a gay rights activist.

Incumbent Presidents always wind up with strange endorsements, because the devil you know is better than the one you don’t. I recall Putin made statements supporting Bush’s 2004 reelection, and so did Obiang. I’d be much more concerned about whose endorsements Presidents actually seek or express gratitude for–much more telling.

  9. ContraMundum says:

I agree with PostCatholic on this one: my problems with Obama are not from the things that are mostly beyond his control, like the economy or offbeat endorsements like this; they are from the endorsements he seeks out, and from the actions he will be bragging about.

  10. Indulgentiam says:

“like the economy or offbeat endorsements like this” Seriously? he has done MUCH to destabilize the economy for just one example i refer you to obamacare and the millions that he flushed just to concoct and print that collection of lies. Not to mention what it WILL cost in the not too distant future. As far as this administration not seeking her endorsement –not likely considering that The administration granted the niece of Fidel Castro a visa to speak at a gay-rights summit in California in an election year. In Fidel Castro’s Cuba homosexuals are jailed or sent to what he calls insane asylums. Mental institutions in Cuba are comparable to animal shelters in this country. I did a search but found nothing to indicate that Bush had invited Putin to speak to communist party nuts in this country. Nor did i see where he invited Obiang period. Really comparing apples and oranges there.
