YOUR URGENT PRAYER REQUESTS

Please use the sharing buttons!  Thanks!

Continued from THESE.

I get many requests by email asking for prayers. Many requests are heart-achingly grave and urgent.

We should support each other in works of mercy.

As long as my blog reaches so many readers in so many places, let’s give each other a hand.

If you have some prayer requests, feel free to post them below. You have to be registered here to be able to post.

But, registered or not, please take a moment to pray for the people about whom you read here below.

Finally, I have two serious needs. I don’t know to resolve them.  It looks like prayer may be the only way to bring swift help.

  1. JoyfulMom7 says:

Please pray for a personal intention held deep within my heart. It is urgent and the salvation of souls depend upon it.

  2. amymev says:

For my father, who is battling terminal brain cancer and in need of conversion. For my brother, who is addicted to drugs. For my sister, who is an unbeliever. For my sister-in-law, who is mentally ill and has a severe eating disorder. For the family whose son/brother was stillborn this past week. For the sanctity of my marriage and the holiness of my children. And for all of those intentions for which I do not have in the forefront of my mind. Lord Jesus, hear me.

I will pray for all your intentions, please pray for the conversion of my children who are so far from our Lord. For my autistic grandson who is 11 years old who has started to talk about wanting to end his life because he finds living so very hard and so full of fear. He suffers from the affects of a broken home and parents who are to busy fighting to see how hard it is for him to go back and force from mom and dad. And for a private intention concerning a Priest.

  6. The Sicilian Woman says:

After wrestling with myself, for fear of retribution from my employer, regarding standing up for a former co-worker in a grave matter, I’ve decided that it’s something that I must do. I’m self-supporting and am in a vulnerable financial position, so I am asking for prayers that I suffer no retribution or ill will from this decision.

Also, as executors, my sibling and his/her spouse have manipulated our parents’ estate for the benefit of their child (including said child, who is unmarried, living in our parents’ home with his/her significant other, which I am upset about). Per attorneys, I have grounds on which to have them removed. Whether I do or not, I’m in a lose/lose situation for obvious reasons, and others which I cannot share. I am going to confront them as charitably as I can, and see what happens. Please pray that they rectify the wrong they’ve done (and are doing) with minimal effort on my part to get them to do so.

Thank you so much for any prayers offered for me.

  7. VexillaRegis says:

For Fr. M., our young pastor, that he will be happy and nice again, and for me, that I will be able to deal with him. Please pray for all priests. Thank you for all your prayers.

Please pray for victims of the severe storms brought about by the southwest monsoon here. Half of the national capital region is flooded. Thousands are homeless or stranded. Sixty have already died. And the worst is still yet to come, as a potential typhoon may be coming in next week.

    AD IESV PER MARIA,
    Filipino Catholic.

    Pax et bonum,
    DJ

  20. Gretchen says:

For an older woman who is in financial need for basic living expenses and medical treatment. For a family whose parents are both disabled, for healing for them and for a good outcome for their son who is dicerning a vocation to the priesthood. For a good and holy man to be named bishop in our diocese (quickly)!

  21. AnAmericanMother says:

ALMIGHTY God, the fountain of all wisdom, who knowest our necessities before we ask, and our ignorance in asking; We beseech thee to have compassion upon our infirmities; and those things which for our unworthiness we dare not, and for our blindness we cannot ask, vouchsafe to give us, for the worthiness of thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord. 24. Domus1967 says:

  27. pmullane says:

For my uncle, who has discovered has cancer. thanks to the wonders of socialised medicine, this was missed by his GP for some time, dispite his being repeatedly pointed out to him that there was a problem, the delay has made treatment far more complicated.

  28. I will pray for everyone here. May God bless and keep you all.
My issues are small compared to some of these but I still need the assistance of my fellow members of the Church Militant. Please pray for three children and their mother. They have suffered and are suffering unspeakable cruelty at her hands. She has dabbled in the occult, drugs and has had numerous men in her life. And intend to take them again today (2 local parishes have Exposition one on Thursday , the other on Friday)
Will pray for all the above posted requests and any more added during the day.

  42. heway says:

Prayers for my husband who has been sick for the past 15 months, that doctors will be able to find a diagnosis. He has promised to visit the shrine of St Charbel in Lebanon, if he is able.
Also a son who is marrying a Catholic woman who is struggling with her catholicity because of the bishops and others, lack of prompt response to abuse. God grant that we are able to support her in her doubts and by example help her home to comfort in the True church.
Lost a friend to lung cancer this week and have another with esophageal cancer. I believe a lot of suffering has to do with the lack of moral behavior and true communion within our church. All those suffering have been called to share the Cross of Christ. He is reaching out to us, asking us to join Him on the Cross of salvation.

  43. albizzi says:

I need a miracle too, for my 2nd son, a miracle of conversion. He is 27 y.o. His 4 siblings are devout catholics, and some among his friends are, too.
But he is uncertain about all, about Faith, about his future. He has no job and lives with us at home. I would like so much that he changes his life!

  47. cornelius74 says:

I will pray for all the intentions mentioned here. Please join me in prayer for the conversion of my wife and our children (I received the Lord only when I have already had them all). And also for our new priest, Fr.J, who arrived to our parish a month ago and it seems there lies quite a bumpy road ahead of us. He cancelled our Saturday 1962 Mass, as well as the regular, N.O. Mass on Friday. There are other issues too. Thank you all and God bless.

Please pray for the conversion of my friends JB, DG and KY, that I can be used by the Holy Spirit should our Lord desire it, to be ready to explain our Faith with charity and clarity if need be, and for the conversion of our separated brethren everywhere. In Christ and with many thanks, God Bless You. I will pray and ask Our Blessed Mother’s intercession for all of you and your prayers and intentions through Christ Our Lord.

  50. Suburbanbanshee says:

Thanks to everybody who prayed for me to find a full-time job — I’ve got one now, and I start paid training on Monday! Please pray for me to keep the job and do well at it, and that I will be safe in all this new stuff.

For the sisters who cling to heresy and false teaching, and those they instruct (myself included) so that we be able to discern truth from falsehood and thus keep ourselves and help keep others on the right path.
