   Is that actually a full sized cup of coffee…in an actual mug…on a plane?! I’ve never seen that before whenever I’ve flown anywhere! It’s always been some small paper cup partially filled!

   Empires rise and sink like billows ;
   Vanish and are seen no more ;
   Glorious as the star of morning
   She o’erlooks their wild uproar……./….

   Apparently, Youngsters, ie, people now reaching 50! Have never sung it !
   Add faith of our fathers, and take Jerusalem from new full brethren under our Lady of walsingham’s pretection, and you can keep the rest.
   Even so, We could do with the Tiber being sung to as an earthly counterpart to the river flowing from the temple in Jerusalem giving life all the to the dead sea, ‘cept for the banks…

   Whither floweth the Tiber, then….?

   In the photo, it appears that the mug is not circular in cross section at the bottom. Who makes this mug?

   If you’re looking for good old Catholic books out of print, try archive.org. There’s tonnes of good books on there for free.

    acardnal: I had to go check TAN books, because Amazon seems not to know it’s in print. One copy there is being offered for just under $5,000! (Brand new, mint condition, multiple copies available.) Glad we all do some research before purchase! ;)

    I am due to re-read it. Then to follow up, I will read again the books by Msgr. Wrenn on the Catechism.

    APX, thanks for that link. I will check it out. One book I am interested in reading and which is out of print is The Decomposition of Catholicism, by Louis Bouyer. If anyone knows how I can obtain a reasonably priced copy, please advise. Thanks. (The cheapest one on Amazon is $120)

    PS that book is on back order at TAN and their shipping conditions for outside the US make it impossible to get unless you can arrange a USD bank transfer to them. Maybe that’s why the price on Amazon is so high

    If your local library belongs to the “WorldCat” interlibrary loan program, you can borrow it for free. Don’t know what part of the country you live in (if you are in the U.S. to begin with), but if you happen to live near me here in New England, of course, we have it available in libraries here. It can be borrowed from the libraries of PC (Providence College), Holy Cross, UCONN, Brown, Smith, and, College of Our Lady of the Elms.

    Here’s a link to Worldcat. If it doesn’t work, let me know and I’ll try another for you.
