I am continuing with my 5 minute daily podcasts to help your preparation for the upcoming feast.
And so, here is ADVENTCAzT 09, for Monday the 2nd week of Advent.
The music today is from the Benedictines of Mary, Queen of Apostles, near Kansas City MO (where Bp. Finn reigns). They also make beautiful vestments.

Help with sisters – real women religious - with lots of orders.
If my podcast bores you, here’s a nice video.

Last week I heard on NPR the sisters knocked “50 Shades of Grey” out of the top position:
November 30, 2012
Fifty Shades of Grey: The Classical Album has been on Billboard’s Classical Traditional Albums chart for 11 weeks, most recently in the top slot. But the album has been bumped this week by The Benedictines of Mary, Queen of Apostles — a group of singing nuns from Missouri. The Benedictines’ album is called, Advent at Ephesus. Melissa Block and Robert Siegel have more.

I love the music on the c.d. Love it, love it, love it. And you know what I also love this time of year? The fact that I was charged $2.00 for shipping and handling on my order, but when I looked at the postage paid on the envelope, it said $2.12. When was the last time the s/h on a holiday order cost less than the actual price of the shipping?
ooo that is my favorite Christmas song! (Angelus ad Virginem) =D
It’s a beautiful recording.
My husband completely surprised me the other day with this CD as a gift. Apparently he had peeked at my Amazon wishlist. This is some of the most beautiful music I’ve ever heard; if I could sing like that, I’d chant all the time. Kids ask a question – Mom responds in beautiful chant. In a perfect world, right?
Thanks for these recordings, Fr Z.
