“This blog is rather like a fusion of the Baroque ‘salon’ with its well-tuned harpsichord around which polite society gathered for entertainment and edification and, on the other hand, a Wild West “saloon” with its out-of-tune piano and swinging doors, where everyone has a gun and something to say. Nevertheless, we try to point our discussions back to what it is to be Catholic in this increasingly difficult age, to love God, and how to get to heaven.” - Fr. Z

That story about the miner is very touching.
There is a silence between 2:18 and 2:56. Maybe it’s intended?
Listening to your “Adventcazts” in the morning makes the home feel like a mini-monastery. I really appreciate them – thank you,
Fr. Z, thank you for these Adventcasts. The wife and I look forward to them as we do for those during Lent.
Friends of ours will be going on the March Lenten Retreat with you and Michael Voris. Perhaps someday we can afford to attend one ourselves.
In listening to the words, “your redemption is near,” I sighed a sigh that felt like a longing a long way off. I thought, “it might be too easy to ask Jesus to come now and quickly.” Do we deserve such? After the Conn. massacre, I wondered how much longer are we to suffer?
I know the Lord has His reasons, I will pray for patience and for final perseverance…
“Lord, give us strength
give us hope.
Give us long desired
freedom
in you.”
Amen
