LENTCAzT 28 Tuesday 4th Week of Lent – Making the Sign of the Cross puts demons to flight

Today is Tuesday of the 4th Week of Lent.

You have no idea what I went through to make this and post it on time.

We hear about the ancient Roman Station church, San Damaso, the Collects in both forms of the Roman Rite, and then have something from Benedict XVI and a great Father of the Church.

From Benedict:

[The Sacrament of Penance] offers the possibility of giving our lives a fresh start and of truly having a new beginning in the joy of the Risen One and in the communion of the forgiveness that he gives us.

From Cyril:

Let us not be ashamed of the Cross of Christ, but rather, even if another makes the Sign of the Cross inconspicuously, teach him to do so in front of everyone so the demons, seeing that regal sign, will take flight in trembling.

Subscribe in iTunes (I hope) HERE. Let me know if this link is better. I found that I could see a lot more of the podcasts in the list.

If these podcasts are useful to you, perhaps you would consider voting ….

Please help?

I was looking at some pictures of San Lorenzo in Damaso and saw that there is a winged skeleton by Bernini! There’s a picture of it here (including some from other Churches in Rome):
