With regret, leaving Boston.
It was a great trip. Thanks to everyone, especially my kind host at Harvard.

“This blog is like a fusion of the Baroque ‘salon’ with its well-tuned harpsichord around which polite society gathered for entertainment and edification and, on the other hand, a Wild West “saloon” with its out-of-tune piano and swinging doors, where everyone has a gun and something to say. Nevertheless, we try to point our discussions back to what it is to be Catholic in this increasingly difficult age, to love God, and how to get to heaven.” – Fr. Z

Bless you. Do you LIKE to fly?
Not much. No. Some people think this is cool or glamorous. HA!
LOVE to fly. The other day I jumped out from the third story window and I flew with great delight. The only problem is that I usually land very hard.
Frankly, the flying itself isn’t the real problem. The cramped conditions (it’s really more like cattle transport sometimes, only difference is that with cattle, each transportee is entitled to a certain amount of room) and hassle around it (security, transportation to and from the airport) are.
Have a safe and not-too-uncomfortable trip, father.
I hate flying. I would rather be in a boat. But, I assume there are no longer any flat-boats or paddle-wheels to take you where you want to go, Fr. Z.
Is that the new book by Russell Shaw? I just got my copy…
I start a new job this week that will have a fair amount of flying. I look forward to the destination but not all the airport joy!
Great to have met you, Father. Keep up the good work!
In my experience, flying is a day spent sitting around with two very exciting points (take off and landing) that are over very quickly!!
Father, we loved having you in Boston! Thank you for visiting and we hope come back soon!
From the introduction to the book shown:
Abp. Chaput: “America is mission territory—whether we recognize it yet or not…”
I saw some photos and video from Juventutem on Facebook. Goodness. If I had a TLM that beautiful in my area, I would go all the time! Finally got a little taste of why people are so dedicated to that mass. The TLM I attended several years ago wasn’t close. We don’t have the resources in our area. Hopefully the TLM will continue to be embraced and grow so that we can all enjoy it.
You should send that picture into the National Geographic & title it, “Rare sighting of an empty seat”.
