YOUR URGENT PRAYER REQUESTS

Please use the sharing buttons!  Thanks!

Registered or not, will you in your charity please take a moment look at the requests and to pray for the people about whom you read?

Continued from THESE.

I get many requests by email asking for prayers. Many requests are heart-achingly grave and urgent.

As long as my blog reaches so many readers in so many places, let’s give each other a hand.  We should support each other in works of mercy.

If you have some prayer requests, feel free to post them below. You have to be registered here to be able to post.

Finally, I have two pressing personal petitions.

I will pray for all of you.
For Maria, my cousin who died and her family who is grieving. For my uncle who has all sorts of health problems.
I asked you all to pray for a good Catholic woman whose husband ‘didnt want to be married anymore”… thank you.. he is having a change of heart and they are working on their marriage. Thank you for all your prayers.
And for a personal intention of mine.

  2. katerosemar says:

Rosary & Mass intentions this week:
    – close family friend with terminal cancer (leukemia)
    – Family/household: accommodation, management, harmony
    – Family/medical: especially sister’s injuries + father’s chronic situation
    – Family/employment: mine for 2014 and beyond, and siblings. [Also please pray to St. Joseph to help me boost my work ethic and output!]

I might not read all the responses here in a timely manner, but I now resolve, whenever I get stuck/distracted at work this week, to recall my attention, pray a short prayer, and offer up my work for the intentions here.

  3. katerosemar says:

Edit: Just received word that the friend mentioned above died last night. RIP, Mrs. D.
Rosary & funeral on Wednesday. Please pray for her husband, too.

  4. Priam1184 says:

Please pray for a priest at my father’s parish who is a troubled soul with many personal problems that contribute to him preaching heresy (I can think of no kinder or more charitable word) from the pulpit.

  5. Ellen says:

Please pray for me. I am working full time, teaching part time and caring for my father who has dementia. He can be left during the day since he is physically healthy, but I have to get him up and fed in the morning and then come home and stay with him at night.

  6. StWinefride says:

I will pray for everyone. Please pray for me as I am discerning whether to homeschool my children.

  7. MarkG says:

My father and mother both recently had heart surgery.

  8. ReginaMarie says:

Asking your prayers for MaryAnn H., Catholic homeschooling mother of 8 who is battling cancer, as well as Fr. Paul V., a dear priest friend of ours who is battling stage IV cancer. Thank you!

  9. Liz says:

Prayers for all, and I ask for two personal intentions to be prayed for.

StWinefride, I will pray extra for you. We have been homeschooling for about 12 years and I used to be almost anti-homeschooling. While it’s not an easy thing, the benefits and blessings we get from it far surpass any hardships. Now I feel so blessed to be able to homeschool. By the way, practically anyone who has the desire can do it. It’s not rocket science (although you can teach that if you like!)

  10. Jason Keener says:

Please pray for my parents. My mom just received a difficult lung cancer diagnosis. My dad is 83 and suffers with various health issues. Thank you! I will pray for all of you, too.

  11. Kathleen10 says:

I will pray for all your intentions.
Ellen, you’ve probably already done this, but suggest you contact your local senior support center to see if there are resources your town or state has to help with your Dad. God bless him, and you.

Please if anyone would include a prayer for my sister Linda, who just had a colostomy due to colon cancer, that she heals well, adjusts, and that there are no remaining cancer cells in her body. She has already endured so much. Thank you.

  12. Supertradmum says:

Still am not able to live permanently in the same country as my son. Please pray for a miracle, like running into an immigration lawyer who will not charge me for services. God can do anything and has allowed this suffering, but I am getting weary of moving every six months. And, that six months is not guaranteed.

  13. lmo1968 says:

Please pray for me that I might soon find a job that provides for my needs and will allow me to buy a car. Thank you.

  14. Eliza_Anne says:

Please pray for me and my friend, we flying to Spain tomorrow to walk 200 miles of the Camino. We are both nervous flyers. Please also pray that God’s Will be done in us during this special time. I will carry this list in my prayers along The Way. Thank you!

  15. johnnyDmunoz says:

I would like for prayers for my grandmother who passed today at 3:00pm. She left the church when she remarried after my grandfather passed.

She was really a great example of a true living Christian. Please pray that she is brought home to rest and she receives Christ’s mercy.

    Thanks

  16. RafqasRoad says:

    Dear readers,

Several prayer intentions, if you could be so kind,

That I be given strength to make it through the final semester of undergraduate study at a typical Catholic university (you know the drill…) and specifically for a mandatory assessment task. I can’t afford a fail this close to the end.

I would also like to thank those who have prayed for my move to the Shoal Haven; God has been incredibly caring of my husband and I throughout this process re solicitors, realestate agents, bridging financiers etc.

Finally, please pray for my BIL.

    Blessings,

soon to be ‘South Coast Catholic’ (Formally Aussie Maronite).

  17. Peggy R says:

I request prayers for a medical situation that remains unresolved. Been through much testing. Not the worst situation, but cause of symptoms uncertain. It’s one of two things, drs believe. I pray for God to lead us to the right solution.

  18. Moro says:

For a greatly improved job situation

  19. MaggieMcC says:

Please pray for conversion for those in my family who are not yet believers, for marriages which are deeply troubled, and for my return to health with an end to chronic pain. I am praying for all those who posted here. God hear and bless you.

  20. StWinefride says:

    Liz: Thank you!

  21. incredulous says:

I ask for prayers for our marriage. Through my great fault and insult, my wife is pursuing a divorce. We have three children. I pray constantly for God to clean my heart and soul and direct me to His will. I beg for the opportunity to do His will in this marriage by allowing me to sacrifice for my family and to sanctify myself through sacrifice. Satan almost had me but I am trying to break his hold and turn to God, but he may prevail in breaking the family. Please pray for my children, my wife and me.

  22. Supertradmum says:

    Prayers for all here.

  23. StWinefride says:

incredulous: I don’t know if you have heard of Blessed Elisabetta Canori Mora, she had a difficult marriage too:

    Prayers for you and everyone.

  24. bgfarmgirl says:

That our oldest son Aaron may return to the faith and the sacraments and remedies his financial woes and family needs. Conversion and return to the faith of all family members. Prayers for safe delivery and health of our son Ryan and daughter-in-law Alicia’s baby in Feb. Full time work for myself and my husband. Several other personal intentions; prayers for all of you.
    Thank you.

  25. ClavesCoelorum says:

Please pray that my conversion to Holy Church might go swiftly this year, and that one day my family might follow. May I also request your prayers for the conversion of two of my friends: One is a Lutheran with a love for the Usus Antiquior and one is a Jehovah’s Witness who is rather… JWish, but likes philosophy and logic. Please pray that both of them might come to Holy Church through these traits God has placed in their lives.

  26. I will add your intentions, and Fr. Z.’s to my rosary. Please help me give thanks to Our Lord for the graces He has been giving me recently re. discerning my vocation; and that He may continue to lead me on the road He wants me to walk. Also that an extremely difficult family situation connected to this may be resolved. Thank you.

  27. VexillaRegis says:

I will pray for all of your intentions, dear fellow WDTPRS’ers.

Would you please pray for me, that I get a new job opening NOW?

Our parish is in dire need of prayers too since our pastor, Fr. M, gets more aggressive every day. People are afraid of going to Mass, he snaps at us and publicly yells at coworkers. I can’t go anywhere else because of the large distances to the neighbouring parishes. I implore you to pray for Fr. M!

  28. mamajen says:

Please pray for my extended family, going through a very difficult time dealing with end-of-life issues and other complicated matters.
