ADVENTCAzT 14: 2nd Saturday of Advent – “illness and suffering, just like great delight”

This year I once again offer a short daily podcast to help you prepare for the upcoming feast as well as for your own, personal, meeting with the Lord.

These are especially offered as a token of gratitude for my benefactors who donate and send items from my wishlist.  Thank you!

And so, here is ADVENTCAzT 14, for the 2nd Saturday of Advent.  Have some Mystic Monk Coffee and have a listen!

PS: My stat counter for this plugin has been screwed up.  Chime in if you listened.

PPS: These podcasts are also available through my iTunes feed. Let me know how you are listening.  Through the plug in on this post? Through iTunes? Downloading?

Thank you Father – once again clicked on the Audio MP3 link on your post and listened on my desktop.
St Jsoeph is one of my favourite saints: a paragon of patience and of listening. Spoke not a word, yet how eloquent his silence.

All of the above. I subscribe and download through iTunes, but when I’m on my iPhone and can’t wait, I just click on it here in the post. I really needed this today, thank you. For over two years, I’ve been down with a debilitating tiredness the doctors can’t explain. I tell God “but I can’t be stopped by this, I have too much to do!” His response seems to be “So how can I get you to stop and pray?” The only thing still nagging at my heart, is the suspicion that I actually want this. That unconsciously I actually enjoy the inability to do all the things I used to do. Praying is easier, at least right now. So is it God’s will, or my own laziness enjoying itself? Or is worrying about my laziness a sign of scrupulosity?

  12. Lepidus says:

I’ve been listening to most of these, through the RSS feed and on my laptop. Just got my first smart phone (from work) and haven’t figured out about the podcasts yet.

  13. VexillaRegis says:

Lovely and brilliant at the same time, thanks! I listen through the plug in on the posts.

I keep plugging away every day.

Listened through the plugin on the chrome mobile browser. Love these daily podcasts.

Thank you for these daily gems. Today I listened using the native (non-Chrome) browser on my Android phone. The “Download” link played right away; the other two links didn’t do anything.

  18. TKS says:

    Listened with plug-in. Thank you.

Fr. Z — Catching up this weekend with the Cazts that I’ve been missing!

Everybody, please pray for the Aliquippa, PA Sister of St. Joseph who suffered both physical assault and rape this week.

Thank you Father for another great podcast. What cd were you playing at the beginning and end of the podcast? It is very beautiful music.

  23. Robert_H says:

I second the motion re: the name of the CD.

If only there was a link to the CD on Amazon, imagine how many copies might be sold?
