ADVENTCAzT 16: 3rd Monday of Advent – hectic commercialism, hushed mystery

ALERT: A reader informed me that when you buy the Advent CD of the Benedictines of Mary, Queen of Apostles, through amazon, you also get at no extra charge to download the mp3s!  I have used bits and pieces of their Advent album in these podcasts.

Solves the dilemma of ordering it and then having it arrive only at the end of Advent, right? Get it now, enjoy it now, have the CD ready for Day 1 of Advent next year… and help the nuns!

And Angels and Saints at Ephesus is a great gift idea.

_____

This year I once again offer a short daily podcast to help you prepare for the upcoming feast as well as for your own, personal, meeting with the Lord.

These are especially offered as a token of gratitude for my benefactors who donate and send items from my wishlist.  Thank you!

And so, here is ADVENTCAzT 16, for the 3rd Monday of Advent.  Have some Mystic Monk Coffee and have a listen!

PS: My stat counter for this plugin has been screwed up.  Chime in if you listened.

PPS: These podcasts are also available through my iTunes feed. Let me know how you are listening.  Through the plug in on this post? Through iTunes? Downloading?

I listened, as always, through the blog here.

Always great (thank you!). This one, though, was somehow especially great.

Really liked this one, as someone who blogs about consumer topics. I see a lot of people who go to extremes in both directions–there are those who are out waiting in line on Thanksgiving Day to score deals, and then there are those who give no gifts at all. It doesn’t have to be all or nothing, but finding the right balance and not getting caught up in the hectic frenzy surrounding the holidays can be tough even with the best intentions.

  5. mamajen says:

Oh, and I listened through the plugin.

The swing at the end was surprising!
Just want you to know Father, I wasn’t around an internet connection for my Kindle so I just pulled out my 4 year old Android phone, found your site and was able to listen to the Podcast loud and clear.
    Thank YOU!
