LENTCAzT 12: 2nd Sunday of Lent

Please use the sharing buttons?  Thanks!

Today is the 2nd Sunday of Lent.

With this audio offering, I continue a series of daily podcasts for Lent.  They are intended to give you a small boost every day, a little encouragement in your own use of this holy season.

I do this, first and foremost, in thanks to my donors.

PS: Once again, my audio plugin is screwed up.  I hope these are working for you.  And my stats function won’t work either, so I have no idea how many people are listening.  Chime in!

PPS: Today I use a cut from new CD of music for Lent by the Benedictines of Mary, Queen of Apostles.

Thank you, Father. I’ve listened to each podcast. They are wonderful!

Native download player in Firefox 27.0.1 under Windows 7 worked fine today. It’s only failed me once or twice. If I have trouble with it in future I’ll try to right-click-save the download, which I did today anyway to make sure it works — a good thing, since I need a re-listen to get a more attentive understanding of the Bossuet quote.

Thank you, Fr Z, beautiful. All the juxtapositions!

Awesome – as usual! Thank you!!

  6. Sonshine135 says:

    Thank you Father.

  7. guans says:

New perspectives- “daylight deceives us” and “darkness seems to tell the awful truth”
Just in case Father decides to give a pop quiz after Lent is over, perhaps “a square halo”
could be one of the questions.

  8. Bea says:

    Thank you, Father.
Great comparison: The illumination of “night” (God and us, face to face) and as to the obfuscation of “day” (the world and all its distractions) Great meditations.

Chiming in. Listening on the blog.

Dear Father Zuhlsdorf, It won’t be possible for me to comment each time, due to my workload. But to let you know I am listening to each one every day, or, if I miss one I listen to it the next day along with that day’s podcast. They are helping me where otherwise I might lose lent altogether, due, as I said to my workload. I am praying for you and your intentions. Thank you very much! BTW some require more than one listen because they are deep.
