Thank you Father for putting these up. So happy I can listen to them finally on the Kindle.

    An Honest Question

Why are we duty bound to follow the vocation that God wants for us? I’ve read vocation books that essentially say that if you screw your vocation up you’re going to hell. [NO NO NO!!! If you make a mistake, and that mistake is not to be reversed (marriage, ordination) you persevere as best you can or you go through the Church normal procedures and abide by her judgments.] What if God wants someone to get married and the person in question wants (for perfectly good reasons) to enter the consecrated life? [This is why we go through a period of discernment with the help of and scrutiny of others who wish us well and who know a thing or two.]

    Thanks, Father!
