  1. Vecchio di Londra says:

That meditation by Bossuet on the Raising of Lazarus is very powerful, Father. We often overlook the staggering implications of some of Our Lord’s Words.

I’d forgotten that the Veil of Veronica is held at St Peter’s. Following up your reference with some reading around the subject, I’ve just now found an interesting demo by an Italian researcher, Vincenzo Giovanni Ruello, who has used angular infra-red spectographic analysis that seems to show that the Veil (which has been thought by some not to be genuine) matches the facial image of the Shroud of Turin (now increasingly held to be authentic).
The topmost of the five videos (towards the bottom of the linked webpage) seems to provide quite persuasive evidence. I don’t know if you have a view?

Anyway, thank you again, for your fidelity to these most inspiring Lenten podcasts!

  2. SKAY says:

    Thank you, Father.

  3. Mariana2 says:

    Thanks, Father, wonderful stuff!
