Please use the sharing buttons?  Thanks!

Today is Holy Thursday of the Sacred Triduum.

Examine your consciences.

Have you made your good confession?

Today we hear something from the wonderful  CD of music for Lent by the Benedictines of Mary, Queen of Apostles.

These daily podcasts for Lent are intended to give you a small boost every day,

This project during Lent has been a token of thanks to my donors.

Thank you Father Z for the wonderful sermon by Pope Benedict.
Thank you priests for your zeal for souls.

Your Lentcazts have made a difference in our home. My husband is preparing to receive the Sacraments of Initiation this Saturday night. Along with our Pastor’s teaching, classroom preparation and participation with the parish (Stations, faith formation, etc.), your podcasts helped open my husband to the universality and “bigness” of the Faith. Thank you! I have prayed for you.

How wonderful! And thanks for the kind feedback.

Making these podcasts every day is sort of like pitching pebbles into a really deep well and then straining to hear if they hit bottom.

Thanks for the prayers, which are welcome.

  4. Father: your Lenten podcasts have been an assignment I gave to my candidate who is completing her sacraments as an adult…first Penance, first Eucharist, and, this Vigil, Confirmation. And I quizzed her on the contents….was part of my plan for this Lent for myself too.

She cried tears of relief as she came out of her first Confession…those of joy as she received Our Lord in her first Communion, and is happily approaching Confirmation. Her statement to me (and she’s 30, birthday is the Annunciation, child of a mixed Catholic/Muslim parents) was insightful: “Being a Catholic is not just something you do…but it is really who you are”.

Please pray for her continued growth in the Faith…and know that those pebbles you threw down the well did make a difference and a joyful noise for Hope, and know of my devout prayers for you and your brother priests as we enter deeply into His Passion, death, and Easter joy.

[Thanks for this. I really needed it today.]

Father, that Alleluia at the end of this podcast…who is that? Where is that from? I think I need to have that one.
And yes, these podcasts. Thank you! I’ve shared many of them on FB and I don’t know if anyone out there listened to them. But I did. And so has my mother. I’d have one playing and she’d walk into the room and say “Fr. Z?”
    And then sit and listen.
