My View For Awhile: Midtown Tunnel Edition

I hurtled through the Midtown Tunnel and I am on the Van Wyck on the way to JFK.

And so the pilgrimage to Rome begins.

UPDATE

I had a note that a couple of priest friends are also heading to Rome. Different flight.

Meanwhile… ah the allure of the international flight.

Nothing like a trip through my native Queens to cap a trip to NYC. Godspeed!

“Meanwhile… ah the allure of the international flight”: happily, lots of time to read about Dante, this time round, from the look of it.

As a frequent flyer, Fr., I am supremely confidant you will watch more of this than you think you will after the first few minutes. Yes it’s 6 hours long: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=UsMZRl71Zo4

Even though I’m a frequent flyer, I once admitted to a bishop that I’m scared of flying. “You’re crossing the Atlantic?” he said. “Then don’t be scared. Be bored.” Yes, that too. Anyone who can view a long flight as an opportunity has my respect and admiration.
