    Thank you Fr, Z.
We are a Marine family; myself (62-66) my wife, (62-66), our oldest daughter(85-89) and our second oldest son, who is in his 24 year a Chief Warrant Officer 4. We really appreciate this time of year when we can get together with Former Marines at the birthday ball. I have never run into old Unit mates but its still fun.
    Semper Fi Marines!!!!!!!!

I have the honor of serving with the LHD (Living History Detachment) from Parris Island, and I am delighted to say “Happy Birthday” to the United States Marine Corps. This past weekend I attended the Living History event in Newville, Pa (where The Great War Association holds its events) and was honored to serve as a member of the 78th Marine Company. The Germans knew it was us, I can promise you that!

“If the Army and the Navy
    Ever look on Heaven’s scenes,
They will find the streets are guarded
    By United States Marines.”

Thanks once again for another year of service. Firstly to the US, of course, but many all over the rest of the world have equally good cause to be grateful to the USMC.

Thank you for your service, to those who commented above — and to any others who read this but don’t comment. Happy Birthday!

Okay. I love and honor the Marines and have loved a Marine, however I have been blessed over the past 30 years to be adopted by 3 most wonderful wiener dogs in succession. And knowing what I have read about dachsie dogs actually being turned in to be euthanized – gassed or poisoned — by Allied families during WWI because they symbolized the kaiser, [talk about spittle flecked nutties] I must say I hate this poster. Semper Fidelis – that sums up my Marine friend and my dogs!
