My car is not stuck in the snow after some pushing and careful driving. It is not 8′ of snow, but nearly 30cm with drifts can be a bit much for a little car.

The Good Lord has worked many huge miracles in recent months. My mother is safely in assisted living and there have been miracles in getting her house sold, and with all the work that I had to do before that could happen. Wonderful St. Joseph helped a lot! Thank you, Jesus, that my nightmare is coming to an end.

We made it home on the ice skating rink that is I-94 coming from seeing my Mother in Law in her constant care facility. My daughter read The Grinch that Stole Christmas to Grams and I discovered that, although I’ve been waiting my whole life, this Christmas I will be the same age as The Grinch.

Our bishop in Kalamazoo has written a pastoral letter in which he “strongly urges” all of us to make Fridays during the coming year “Days of Prayer and Sacrifice” for the Church, by “offering special prayers, fasting from meat, and doing acts of charity” for five intentions which he has detailed, the first of which is respect for protection and dignity of human life.

I got a job, and my new coworkers and superiors seem to be real good people. Also, my brother’s wife and my sister both gave birth to healthy children and everyone is doing fine.

The re-opening of a church in Rochester NY: http://cleansingfiredor.com/2014/08/tlm-and-sta-together/

My husband and I attended the EF Mass there yesterday..it was transcending. The church is of a monastic style. I heard there were about 800 people at the OF and 300 at the EF. More description here: http://cleansingfiredor.com/2014/11/preview-today-at-sta/

    Deo gratias Bp Matano
