Here is some great news. The wonderful Benedictine Monks in Norcia, Italy (they make the best beer you may ever have), are releasing a new Gregorian Chant CD on 2 June. It is available for pre-sale now.

It is dedicated to chants of Marian Feast Days. BENEDICTA: Marian Chant from Norcia
BTW… the Traditional Mass pilgrimage group I am leading in October, for the Summorum Pontificum Pilgrimage, is going to visit Norcia! Click HERE or see the ad on the sidebar.
Here is a spiffy video about the life of the monks.

Will the CD be available on iTunes?
Thank you for the news and the samples! Beautiful!
If you will excuse a tangent along Marian and devotional lines (recalling your autumn post about the Dominican Sisters’ Rosary CD), is the rosary ever chanted rather than said?
And, in the comments to a December 2012 post about the Latin rosary there was some discussion of recordings.
Are there simple, clear Latin and various vernacular Rosary recitation recordings readily available anywhere?
Has anyone perhaps organized the possibilities of ordering or downloading Latin and vernacular Rosary recitations in one ‘place’, whether for sale, or even (like LibriVox.org volunteer-read texts) for free, or a discretionary donation?
If not, would it be an idea worth someone pursuing?
Sooooo beautiful. I just received my DVD set from Church Militant TV by Father Edward Perrone on how to learn Gregorian Chant: Treasury of the Church. I’ll never achieve the beauty and richness of the monks, but it will be a erthral endeaver. :)
The recording has been favorably reviewed by John J. Puccio:
Benedicta: Marian Chant from Norcia (CD review)
Absolutley beautiful…will definitely look into purchasing. But now for the big question…..do they export their beer to the U.S. and if so, where can we buy?!!! Listening to glorious chant with a pint of substantive ale made by the chanters….little slice of heaven on earth, dare I say.
Beautiful!
I wonder if any U.S. Publishers/Book dealers will be selling them in order to put them up for sale by U.S. Bookstores.
Anybody know?
I imagine the blessed trinity sitting upon their thrones in heaven. All the Glory to God our Almighty Father, our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost! They are my beginning, my middle, and my end.
They are my life-source which gives me life!
