As long as my blog reaches so many readers in so many places, let’s give each other a hand. We should support each other in works of mercy.

Everyone’s intentions will be remembered in our Rosaries and Masses.
Special prayers for Virgilio, as I request prayers for the same intention for my husband, who has been out of work for 9 months. Finding work when over 40 years of age is extremely difficult.
Also, prayers requested for a good friend of my young son who is suffering from a very severe concussion.
I will pray for you, Father.
May I ask WDTPRS readers for prayers? I have not been to Mass in several months, during which time I’ve been battling against difficult circumstances (depression, family situation) that make not just the logistics but the emotional burden overwhelming sometimes. I have a deep desire to make a good confession and return home, miserable sinner that I am, but the struggle is daunting.
I am losing all hope and do not know where to turn. Things keep getting worse and I want to give up.
@Agathon Find a place that has Confessions available at a time that works for you, make a good examination of conscience and then keep saying Hail Marys until you get into the Confessional and start talking to the priest. And ignore all of the very real seeming but ultimately quite stupid reasons that the devil will keep throwing in your face not to go to Confession. Just do it.
@Cath where will giving up get you? Or any of us? We are all walking through a dark and gloomy forest right now. But it won’t be this way forever…

For TM who told her boyfriend she will be leaving him and he told her that if she does he will kill himself. That she will leave him and return to the Faith.

May I please ask for prayers for someone who left the noviciate nearly a year ago and has lost trust in God as a consequence of what had happened to her.
Please pray for the success of my parish Confirmation retreat this weekend. There is a lot riding on its success, not least of which are the immortal souls of the teenagers entrusted to our care.
Please pray for M who has only a few months left, she has ovarian cancer and is mostly alone. She needs strength and faith.
Father,
I would like to ask for prayers for the repose of the soul of my Godmother (Aunt) .
She passed on 11/28 ending a eight year battle with cancer.
I was able to see that she obtained extreme unction in the traditional rite and the Apostolic Pardon.
Additionally, some how through the grace of God we were able to have a Sung Requiem Mass for her in her hometown where she no longer lived, probably the first funeral in the Extraordinary form at this parish since the implementation of the Novus Ordo.

For me to get a good job that I can do til I retire and support my elderly mom on. It’s hard being unemployed for 4 years and over 50, discouraging.
Agathon: please do not fear going back, I came back after over 30 years away and the priests have been so wonderful. They made confession easier than I dreamed it could be and have been so great about helping me come back and answering all my stupid questions
Please pray for my unfortunately not very intelligent teenage son (learning difficulties) who keeps bad company and is very easily influenced in any direction (except by my husband and myself).
Praying for all the above intentions and, later, for those below.
For my parish: we are in the throes of having a new “strategic plan” shoved down our throats, and the grand strategy involves the word “inclusivity” over and over again. I stay at this parish with my wife and four kids because I don’t believe I should run from the fight. But this leads me to believe that things are going to get much worse.

It’s such a blessing to hear how powerful prayers are for those in dire need. Below is an update on Henrietta, the Nigerian Mother of two babies, who was diagnosed with Stage 3A breast cancer and became homeless within just a few days. Here is an update:
Dear JD (Juan Diego Women’s Center) and GP (Gabriel Project for Women in crisis pregnancy) supporters,
Thank you so much for all you have done to bring Henrietta out of homelessness. It has been a beautiful joint effort between Juan Diego Society and Gabriel Project, and now more of the broader community is involved as well.
Last night, Henrietta signed a six month lease for a one bedroom apartment. The security deposit had been provided by JD the day before, and Aimee had gone through great efforts that morning getting funding to Henrietta to show proof of ability to pay to the landlord. The landlord also required a letter from Gabriel Project, which Aimee provided. Gabriel Project will be able to fund the remaining months of rent through contributions from a few benefactors.
Today, a community of people came together over social media, organized by Christy Li, a Holy Spirit parishioner. She put out a request for apartment furnishings and by this evening we had been given every single thing she requested.
Not only that, an organization called Coaches Against Cancer heard about it and will also be helping with furnishings and a gift to Henrietta.
All the items will be delivered over the next two days by various volunteers.
As for Henrietta’s health, she received her first round of chemotherapy on Wednesday. She suffered no effects on Wednesday or Thursday during the day, but by Thursday night was feeling very ill and vomiting. I know we will all continue to pray for her during this time.

I’m happy to say that I returned to Mass this morning. I unfortunately did not make it to confession yesterday, but I did carve out the time to make a thorough examination of conscience (writing everything down of course) and have contacted my priest about making an appointment to hear my confession, hopefully this week.
I will continue to pray for those who have posted in this thread.
My youngest sister, 22, has been depressed again lately. (As in clinical; it runs on both sides of the family REALLY strongly and I’ve had plenty of my own struggles.) As a teenager, she did attempt suicide, so yeah, I’m more worried than I would be if it was the middle sister. She says she’s “Catholic,” but most of her views are way out of line with the Church, so the problem could be spiritual as much as neurological or psychological.
