ADVENTCAzT 03: Francis’ Admonition to Priests

Here is ADVENTCAzT 03, for Tuesday in the 1st Week of Advent.

These 5 minute offerings, to help you prepare for the upcoming feast as well as for your own, personal, meeting with the Lord, are a token of gratitude for my benefactors who donate and send items from my wishlist.  Thank you!

Make some Mystic Monk Coffee and have a listen!

Some music for Advent: US HERE – UK HERE

Chime in if you listened.

PS: These podcasts should also be available through my iTunes feed, though in years past I have had problems with it. Let me know how you are listening.  Through the plug in on this post? Through iTunes? Downloading?

Very helpful, Father. I liked the way that the quotation starts with Latin, fades out, English follows, then ends again in Latin. Very pleasing.

  8. SAHMmy says:

Fr. Z I LOVE your Lent and Advent Podcasts! I listen directly from your website and I send links to all my friends. The fade-in with the latin and fade-out of the english was nicely done.

  9. Fr. Andrew says:

Off to a good start- listening through the website.

Quaeritur…what was the source on the Archbishop Fulton Sheen quote at the conclusion?

[I believe from Lift Up Your Heart.]

Among other things, I appreciate how well this AdventcaZt seamlessly segued into “O Come O Come Liturgical Blue” on iTunes.

Fr Andrew: ( after googling, as I didn’t know either)
“God, who wishes to dwell in us, can always be evicted by a single word of dismissal. And so it is important to consider the way to respond to God’s visitation – which we cannot prevent, but can cut short. The first necessity of our cooperation with God is the consciousness that it is He who is present; the will to know Him causes our recognition of His presence. If we lack this readiness to know Him, we are like those who smell and perceive no fragrance, taste and know no sweetness, touch and enjoy no ecstasy.”

Archbishop Fulton Sheen (Lift Up Your Heart)

Listened just now via the plug in on this website. Nice Fulton Sheen quote.

  12. Fr. Andrew says:

Father Z & jameeka, thank you very much!
