My View For Awhile: Westward …. Ho!

It’s to the Left Coast today. Yawn.

Dreadful weather this morning. Winter never seems to end. The older I get the more often I ask why I live in this climate: for my sins?

UPDATE

After a slight breather, it’s off to the gate. They are putting our impedimenta on the vehicle. Castra movebunt.

With both port and starboard doors open, it’s a wind tunnel in here. A cold one.

Fr. Z, you sound like me in the summer. I live in the southeast, and I’m pretty much miserable from May through early October. Every late summer, when the hot and muggy days seemingly just won’t end, I ask myself why I stay and don’t just move to Vermont. The older I get, the less I can tolerate summer without hibernating in the air conditioning (or should I say aestas-tating?).

I heard it’s like spring all the time somewhere in the mountains or highlands of Peru.

You’d be most welcome in Austin, Father, but the summers might do you in. And our bishop is not the Extraordinary Ordinary.

  4. Sword40 says:

You’d be most welcome here in the pacific northwest. Perhaps our Archbishop would assign you to the proto cathedral in Vancouver, WA. I’m sure Fr. Harris could use the help. Or maybe come help our FSSP parishes in the Seattle/Tacoma area. True it rains a lot but the weather is fairly moderate. And you’d really get along with our FSSP priests (they love shooting).

Come to the front lines, California! I would suggest the diocese of Santa Rosa. I hear that the Bishop is great.
