Please use the sharing buttons! Thanks!

Registered here or not, will you in your charity please take a moment look at the requests and to pray for the people about whom you read?

Continued from THESE.

I get many requests by email asking for prayers. Some are heart-achingly grave and urgent.

As long as my blog reaches so many readers in so many places, let’s give each other a hand. We should support each other in works of mercy.

If you have some prayer requests, feel free to post them below.

You have to be registered here to be able to post.

I still have pressing personal petitions.

  1. Healing after my accident. I have to travel on Friday.
  2. A good bishop for Madison.
  3. Personal.

I will pray for Father Z’s intentions and for all others who post here.
Please pray for my husband, Patrick. That God will grant him good test results, keep him healthy and allow him to continue working.
Thank you for your prayers, I know they will be a help to him.

  2. Fallibilissimo says:

God Bless you Fr. Will pray for yours and the requests here tonight.
Please pray that I take up my prayer life in a very serious and consistent way again.

  3. gdweber says:

I too will do this. Two personal intentions for my children.

  4. JesusFreak84 says:

My grandfather’s functioning level is plummeting but he still refuses to go into assisted living. Caring for him is becoming such a full-time job that my own job hunt has been paused as a result, because I’m never free to interview during business hours. Mom’s mental health has also been bad literally (no, really, literally,) since the day I was born, and the toll this is all taking on her…yeah…………

    Also, other stuff.

I would like to pray for two priests whom I know personally. Within the last few months, these two priests have asked for and been granted a leave of absence from active ministry. I pray that both of these priests will return to active ministry in the near future.

  6. Please pray for the soul of my mother, who died three years ago today.

  7. John Grammaticus says:

for the nibbles I’ve been getting on my CV to turn into a job

  8. MrsMacD says:

Please pray for the soul of RR who passed away yesterday.
Please pray for the J family who have been fighting for the life of their baby girl for four months, and for the situation of momma is in the hospital with the baby and not with the other eight children, who also need her.

  9. Michael says:

    1. Please ask the Lord to grant safety and success to the mission He has given me.
    2. For the intentions of those who ask my prayers as I carry them across the country on my walk.
    3. For the healing in mind, body and soul of those I pray for daily.

Thank you, and all your prayers I will ask my guardian angel to help me with.

In your charity, please pray for my dear daughter and affectionate preschool granddaughter who are facing being forcibly separated by the judicial system ordering a joint child custody arrangement with my son-in-law. We only recently learned he has been at a minimum emotionally abusive to our daughter while being unfaithful to her with multiple women over the years while also devastating their finances. My daughter has been a wonderful Catholic wife and mother who truly believed she was entering a Catholic marriage with a man who also wanted a sacramental marriage; it was all a sham.

I had no idea no fault divorce also apparently means major personality problems, unless specifically aimed at the child and sometimes not even then, have become irrelevant in deciding child custody. In my daughter’s case, this means her young daughter will have to spend the night at my son-in-law’s current girlfriend’s college apartment, likely for a week at a time, as there is no “fault” to be taken into account. Two good family lawyers have told us that that is just the way it is, and there is almost no hope of any other outcome if decided via the courts.

Please, please pray for there to somehow be a better, miraculous if necessary, outcome for my daughter and granddaughter than this nightmare — I can’t bear to see how the light has gone out of my beautiful, once-happy daughter’s eyes. I have been filling a notebook full of quotes from Scripture (mostly Psalms) on how God loves justice and will defend those who are defenseless. My daughter and my granddaughter are truly the defenseless. Also, please pray for my son-in-law’s genuine repentance and us to continue to forgive. Please pray for all trapped in these horrible court arrangements (we are learning of many). Please pray for our family, which is devastated by this situation, including my husband who has already been battling stage 4 cancer for years and did not need this stress. Finally, I humbly ask prayers specifically for me; I mean no disrespect to our Lord’s unfathomable sacrifice when I say this is an unrelenting, ongoing, crucifixion for me.

  11. GM Thobe says:

For a handful of family intentions. And the grace to deal with the outcome.

  12. barryaltarserver1985 says:

For me to get a job and for a new (and faithful) Archbishop in Washington

  13. Semper Gumby says:

    Prayers for all intentions here.

  14. Diana says:

Please pray for my husband’s conversion. Thank you.

  15. Red A Surcami says:

Please pray for the soul of Lt Col Ben L who passed two days ago.

Also for my wife’s health and for me to have the grace to be a good care giver.

  16. VexillaRegis says:

    Praying for you, Fr. John!

Please keep praying for my husband’s and his trade union’s total victory in the battle with his boss, head of council board and a third manager. The law is on our side, but those people are very scary and unpredictable. This has been going on for a year now and it has to stop. The head of board was, BTW, fired from a position as a HR manager in a private company some years ago for treating the employees extremely badly in the same way as he is now. Sts Joseph, Jeanne d’Arc and Michael please pray for us!

Prayers for my poor parish to have a new and good pastor would also be appreciated!

I have prayed for all intentions here.

    Thank you so much!

  17. Justalurkingfool says:

May I please ask for prayers for my brother Louis, who is under Hospice care and very ill with cancer.
Pray, also please, that I might be faithful in my caring for him during his final days. He is a wonderful brother. God bless him.

    Thank you,

    Karl

  18. baileymxd says:

My husband is beginning the Exodus 90 challenge. Pray that it bears much fruit in his life, and that I may be just as patient as him, especially as I am 6 months pregnant with our second child and raising our 21 month old.

Please also pray for my sister and her husband, who after 11 years of infertility are beginning the lengthy process of adoption. Pray that it may be a smooth, swift, suscinct, and successful journey. And please also pray for the courage and bravery of their future child’s birthday mother.

  19. happyCatholic says:

Just a quick update: there was a glimmer of hope today in my daughter’s situation.

Thanks to everyone who prayed. The crisis is far from over, but I am extremely grateful for the respite and wanted to at least share that small bit of encouragement. Deo gratias!

I ask for continued prayers and am also praying for the intentions here.

  20. aviva meriam says:

I will pray for everyone here.

Please, in your charity pray for my husband and for myself. My Husband lost his job two years ago, and he’s facing a job interview in a few days. This would be an incredible opportunity to restart his career. I returned to work and now am required to build my own practice but I made a mistake regarding my membership in a team. I need God’s help finding and building my clientele, and his protection from a difficult set of personalities.

  21. FN says:

I will pray for all these intentions. I can gratefully report that my father-in-law, who has advanced lung cancer, has stunned the doctors since you all began praying for him! He is healthier right now than the family had dared to hope for! Please continue to pray for his recovery, and for my husband’s conversion.

  22. MrsMacD says:

Good friend GD just told us he’s recovering from brain and thyroid surgery. Please pray for his recovery.

  23. AQ says:

I am scheduled to have a serious eye surgery tomorrow. I am afraid of the surgery itself (it will be done under minimal sedation, so I will be awake and aware for 1 to 2 hours, and must not move at all), the outcome at best will be the preservation of the vision I now have, but with little hope of improvement, and the recovery is long and difficult. I have been the opposite of patient, trusting, and courageous in the 3 months leading up to the surgery. Please pray that I can trust in God, and that I quit taking out my fears on my poor husband.

I will pray for all of you heartbreaking intentions.
