YOUR URGENT PRAYER REQUESTS

Please use the sharing buttons!  Thanks!

Registered or not, will you in your charity please take a moment look at the requests and to pray for the people about whom you read?

Continued from THESE.

I get many requests by email asking for prayers. Many requests are heart-achingly grave and urgent.

As long as my blog reaches so many readers in so many places, let’s give each other a hand.  We should support each other in works of mercy.

If you have some prayer requests, feel free to post them below. You have to be registered here to be able to post.

Finally, I have a pressing personal petition and two concerns that are heading at me from the other end of the tunnel.

  2. Chris Garton-Zavesky says:

Our daily bread. This comes under urgent requests. My hours at work have been reduced to the point that I need to find other employment in order to put bread on the table.

Please, also, pray for the enemies of the church, both within and without. (No, I can’t explain on a public forum).

  3. maryh says:

Please pray for my Dad, who is on his death bed. I’m able to be with him for a few more days. Pray especially that he is reconciled to the Church before the end, and lets me bring a priest. I have already talked with a priest who knows the situation and is ready to come if I call.

  4. McCall1981 says:

Please pray for my friend Titus and his unborn child, Emma Lee who recently had a stroke, and Richard who is suffering greatly from cancer.
Also, please pray for Fr. Z and his ministry here. Thank you for everything Fr. Z!

  5. Phillip says:

A very close friend of mine committed suicide three weeks ago. He was only 21 years old. He had a long history of emotional instability, and I have reason to suspect that he was out of his mind with anxiety and depression at the time he did it and may not have been fully culpable. I was praying the occasional Chaplet of Divine Mercy and a Rosary for him every day in the few weeks before he died, and it’s some comfort to know that Our Lady was interceding for him to the end. Please pray for God’s mercy on his soul, and also for his family, who knew very little about his problems and are shocked and naturally devastated. And also for me. This is a really horrible situation.

Our house has been on the market for over two years. Our family has been geographically separated for four years, my husband only home weekends now he is retired from the Marines. Before that we were lucky to see him monthly.

I humbly beg for any prayers imploring God’s intervention in selling our house. The past four months have made this situation unbearable,
Thank you and I add my prayers for all intentions posted here. God bless you.

  7. RidersOnTheStorm says:

I humbly ask people to say a Hail Mary for my youngest brother Fr. Richard Kelly, o.f.m., as he has just been diagnosed with colo-rectal cancer and is about to undergo chemotherapy and radium treatment prior to surgery.

    Dia is Muire daoibh.
(God and Mary be with ye)

  8. LarryW2LJ says:

My friend Gerry’s wife in is the hospital with a malignant brain tumor. The prognosis is grim. I pray that God would will to grant a miracle and restore Connie to complete health. But even if that’s not His will, that God will be with Gerry and the rest of his family throughout this ordeal to strengthen and comfort them.

Thanks, and you’re ALL in my prayers.

  12. Lucas Whittaker says:

Please kindly include me in your prayers.

I do not yet have a date for the procedure but sometime in October I go into the hospital to have a Medtronic intrathecal pain pump installed as a means of managing my chroninc pain. The pump will push a continuous flow of a strong pain medication into a space in my spinal column with the hope that my quality of life will improve.

Thank you. I will offer some of my suffering for the good of all those who have requested prayers here. My spiritual director likes to remind me that Jesus is especially close to those who suffer: may each of you come to know his love in a deeper way through your own trials and burdens.

They found some more cancer last week on her checkup and requires yet another round of chemo. She is only 33 and has 6 beautiful children. Her husband is a teacher/coach at a Baptist high school. She is very weak and she needs God’s strength to get through this next chemo.

If you could pray for these intentions, I would be most grateful:
    – Please pray for a person who is very dear to me who has fallen away from the Church.
    – Please also pray for a young couple that I know who are going to become missionaries.
    – For a friend who is in the seminary.
    – For a friend of a friend who left the Church, who’s husband is very ill, and who is becoming fatigued by the situation.
    – Also, I am in the process of looking for a job. While the situation is not desperate, I would appreciate your prayers in this matter as well.

Thank you! And may God bless you!

I prayed for each and everyone of your intentions, one by one. Wow, I can’t believe some of the hardships people are going through. Please say a prayer for a special intention and resolution to it soon, if it be God’s will.

  30. Palladio says:

    Thank you, Liz. God bless.

  31. poohbear says:

For a friend’s husband whose prostate cancer was in remission, but has now been told it has spread to other parts of his body. He is not doing well at all. Thank you for your prayers. I include all of these intentions in my daily prayers.

  32. OrthodoxChick says:

I know I’m putting my prayer request in late this evening, but it would mean so much if everyone could keep a beautiful family in your prayers. This is a very urgent prayer request for baby “I” again. She will be turning 1 in a few weeks. She is presently in a wonderful devoutly Catholic home with a young couple who love her desperately and want to become her adoptive mother and father. They have raised her since she was released from the hospital at birth and she knows no one else as her parents. The state has notified the family that they are removing baby “I” from her family next Sunday at 10:30 a.m. to place her in the home of a 1/2 uncle whom she does not know. To make matters wose, baby “I”‘s next placement with her 1/2 uncle will be out-of-state and the family who was led to believe that they could adopt her, and who have raised her since birth, will never see her again if this comes to pass. Lawyers will be intervening this week. I just returned from a prayer service with rosary and adoration that the pastor of my N.O. parish graciously offered for baby “I”. But I told the family about Fr. Z., his wonderful blog, and all of you, who so charitably offer prayers on the behalf of others and the family is really counting on as many prayers as possible from all of you. Please help this family if you can. Thank you so much.

Of course, I read all of the intentions above this one and I will keep all of you and your intentions in my own prayers this week. I will especially be praying for Fr. Z. I have a feeling that none of us will ever know the amount and severity of attacks that he must have to endure in order to keep ministering to us.

    God Bless you all!

  33. Liz says:

OrthodoxChick, adoption is close to our hearts as many of our children are adopted, the most recent just turned one and I can’t imagine. We will pray for this family.

Palladio, no problem. Isn’t the Communion of Saints a wonderful thing? We are so blessed.

  34. OrthodoxChick says:

    Liz,

    Thank you so much!

  35. Supertradmum says:

Please continue to pray for me for housing from October 4th; secondly, please pray as I do not have the money I need for my thyroid and cancer meds now. Thanks for these prayers.

  36. Heather F says:

Please pray for Fr. Michael “Catfish” Mireau of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Only 41 and a well-loved chaplain for the Edmonton Catholic School Board, he is suffering from an aggressive abdominal cancer that has failed to respond to chemo. He went in yesterday for surgery to try to remove it, and I have not yet heard how it went.

His own prayer request from September 22 can be found here, at the top of the page: http://fathercatfish.com/RANTSHTP/MedicalLog.html

  37. VexillaRegis says:

    Supertradmum: Prayers coming your way!

  38. Heather, thank you so much for posting the link! I’ve watched several of the videos – Fr. “Catfish” is truly inspiring! Please post if you hear any news. I’ll pray for him, and his friends and family, as he’s asked.

  39. Heather F says:

Thank you for your prayers, CatholicCoffee! So far I have heard that he is still in ICU but that the surgery “went very well.” He can still use plenty of prayers!

I don’t know him well personally, but he is a family friend of my closest friend (who served with him as a Catholic youth summer camp counsellor before he entered seminary), and he’s touched the lives of hundreds if not thousands of young people through his life and ministry. May he be healed and strengthened so he can continue that ministry for many more years!

  40. lizaanne says:

My dear mother, an avowed atheist, who said tonight “you will not convert me” will be going to Holy Mass (TLM) with us in the morning.
Please pray that the Holy Spirit will reach her through her intense love and fascination with history, and speak to her heart about Truth.
    Thank you.

  41. jameeka says:

Please pray for a dear priest recently diagnosed with cancer, metastatic–currently undergoing treatment.
    Also for some special intentions.
I am praying for all petitions above; Lord, have mercy on us.
