Registered or not, will you in your charity please take a moment look at the requests and to pray for the people about whom you read?

Continued from THESE.

I get many requests by email asking for prayers. Many requests are heart-achingly grave and urgent.

As long as my blog reaches so many readers in so many places, let’s give each other a hand. We should support each other in works of mercy.

If you have some prayer requests, feel free to post them below. You have to be registered here to be able to post.

Please… pray for G.  Really struggling right now.  Urgent.

Finally, I still have a pressing personal petition. Actually… two.

  1. Paulo says:

All dear gentle readers and Father Z, I need your prayers. I have taken my soul to some really dark places recently, and even though I hope in The Lord and have absolute faith in the sacrament of penance, I would appreciate your prayers for my sake and for the sake of my family. I will also pray a Divine Mercy chaplet to each of your requests.
    God Bless!

  2. The Sicilian Woman says:

I am, literally, pulling my hair out from stress.

-I have a new car (only 23K miles) with a mechanical problem that was supposedly fixed today. Driving home from the dealership (a very long distance from my home) tonight, the problem happened again, on the lonely road that is the most direct route home. I was freaking out. By the grace of God and the intercession of St. Joseph, I made it home. I can’t afford the auto maker messing with me on this car that I no longer trust and which I have monthly payments. I really need the auto maker to make good on their product and reputation. I am alone and have no one to depend upon without a reliable car, I’m sunk.

-My longtime family dispute has no end in sight, and I am bled almost dry with legal bills. Going forward, those fees that I cannot pay until the end of the dispute, my attorney will put off payment until all is decided, potentially another 15K. 15K that I do not have. 15k on top of my other debt, including my car payment. Plus, I likely have more medical bills on the way.

-Potentially, I have a better job coming up, but if the family dispute isn’t settled very soon, and settled in my favor, I won’t be able to accept it (long story, please trust me on this). If I do, I’d have to move, driving a few hundred miles in a car I don’t trust.

Many nights I have to take drugs to fall asleep. Even then I don’t sleep through the night. I’ve never felt so alone, vulnerable, and stressed. Same as Paulo above, my soul has gone into some dark places. Any and all prayers would be appreciated. My Rosary will be offered for all needs posted here. Thank you.

    Paulo,

I have just prayed for you, that our heavenly Father, through our Lord jesus Christ will continue to guide you up and out from the valley floor’s darkness into the light of His sustaining love. Remember, there is no sin grievous enough that, contritely and with sincerity, you cannot be forgiven. Make use of the sacraments regularly. if you’re falling off the wagon weekly, go to confession weekly if you can (though I know that for many this is an unimaginable luxury. If you can go to mass a few days per week to start with, daily mass if possible, this will help anchor you tangibly to our Lord (from experience).

Our Lady, Refuge of sinners, pray for Paulo, and pray for us.
PS: if those who are thus inclined could pray for my father and step mother, N and S., my brother and sister in law S and K. My close family friend L, my husband’s close friends B and L, plus my husband L, that they either come to Catholic Christianity from atheism or come to it from lapsed Protestantism the former in this list being of the Dawkins variety, all who see Holy Mother Church’s truths as backward and anti human rights of women and those who act on SSA.

Please pray for me also, that the attacks from satan that I have been enduring re spiritual warfare (some of which I have given into all too eagerly) cease, and that, in the meantime, I flee straightways and instantly to our Lord and Lady for protection.

  4. Eugene says:

Prayers for Father Z’s intentions, for G and others.
Please pray for the return of my wife and children to the sacraments, for my mother whose health is deteriorating from cancer, for my father’s health and for my son N that he will find his way in life according to God’s will.
Finally a prayer of gratitude for Father Z giving us the opportunity to carry each other’s burdens in prayer. God bless guide and help you all.

  5. RafqasRoad says:

    Cicilian Woman,

I have just prayed for you also, asking our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, if it is His will, to see you through uninjured re your family dispute/legal issues, that your car can be made reliable and that the auto maker does not muck you about, and for a positive outcome re the job that is coming up, plus that any on-going health conditions that may be in the process of flaring up may be managed and alleviated. I have asked St. Rita to intercede for you, likewise Our Lady undooer of knots, Our Lady refuge of sinners and Fr. Keneth Walker (I have been calling upon him often of late, trusting that he is now in a place to intercede for all of us still here on Earth.

  6. Allan S. says:

For the soul of my father, an avowed atheist who died 2 weeks ago, and for whom I have caused a private Requiem Mass to be said this evening. God can do anything and I cannot know the state of his soul at the moment of death. I ask for any and all Prayers and Mass intentions, and will remember all who pray for him additionally at the Mass this evening.

  7. Cath says:

For Franklin, the eleven year old son of a friend, who is suffering from a brain tumor and not doing well.

  8. Mike says:

Lifting all in prayer to Our Lord, that by the intercession of Our Lady He will grant everyone here healing and peace.

Please pray for all struggling with chastity and with the effects of sins against purity on their souls, their acquaintances and their families. Pray especially that they may be docile to the workings of the Holy Spirit with the help of Whose grace they can conquer pernicious habits, and that they may receive the faithful pastoral support they so urgently need from their pastors and bishops, and not be led to despair by the voices of dissent.

Please pray that my brother may return to the Faith and bring his family with him.

  9. OrthodoxChick says:

Praying for all of the intentions here. If I may I add my own, please pray for the repose of the soul of my father. He died three weeks ago. I have a job interview on Monday and I really need to land this job. Work is scarce around here and I don’t have any other prospects if I can’t get hired for this position. I have a partially disabled husband and four children to provide for so I really need solid employment soon. I’m praying this job will be it, but the Lord’s Will be done. Please also pray that we can obtain safe, affordable housing, as we are waiting for the bank to evict us from my father’s house one of these days. A good job would go a long way toward our obtaining housing.

  10. Jason Keener says:

Please pray for the repose of my mother’s soul. She died on Sunday after a tough battle with lung cancer. Thank you and God Bless!

  11. yatzer says:

Have prayed for all of these, including Fr. Z’s and G. Please pray for a friend whose husband was killed in a freak accident on their property. Aside from the shock, he did not prepare well financially for this possibility.

  12. internicola says:

Please pray for my wife who seems to be addicted to playing games on her smartphone and tablet. She has been quite distant from me in the past number of months. I’m sure she wouldn’t think it’s become an addiction, but she spends more than 3 hours every day interacting with these games and the people who play along online and that is not normal. I feel so taken for granted and emotionally starved and am now struggling with lustful urges and desires for other women. Please pray for her and for me too. Thanks and God Bless.

  13. johnnys says:

Praying for all intentions. God Bless.

  14. sevensixtwo187 says:

I will pray for all of you this evening when work is over. I too am in dire need of all of your prayers. My wife began an affair last year at this time. I stuck with her continually trying to reconcile. I tolerated her illicit conduct with this other man in hopes that through prayer, examination of myself, and correction of any issues I might have that may have contributed to the situation we might be able to heal and restore our marriage. She left me and our 16 year old son at home back in April. We have been married almost 20 years and she has always been the very air that I breath. I have continued to pray, do penance, and ask for heavens help. I have continued to try and reconcile. I thought perhaps there might be a chance as she came to visit us quite frequently the first two months. I also had a very good, and Godly Catholic therapist lined up for us to talk to but she refused to go. Then this past weekend I discovered that she was once again committing adultery with this same man again. My heart is crushed and though I maintain hope my cross is so very heavy right now. I do not understand why I have received no help from heaven. Unless I have and just do not realize it. I think that it cannot be God’s will for this to happen. That it could not be his will for her to do this too me. I continue to hold my head above the waters but it is only by the grace of God and the prayers of everyone else. Some days I am just so very sad. Thank you in advance. You have no idea how much your prayers will mean.

  15. LeslieL says:

I promise you all that you and your petitions are held in my heart and in my prayers – Fr. Z and G included….
and I ask you yet again to keep a deeply held special intention in your prayers and heart for a dear young priest friend of mine, Fr. JM.
I also ask that you keep my husband Mike in your prayers as his MS is worsening and becoming more and more debilitating.
Please also keep my friend Kerry and her family in your prayers also as her brother (age 50ish) has had a severe stroke, was recuperating, and is now backsliding; her mother has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer; her son, age 19, has been diagnosed with schizophrenic paranoia and is hospitalized for the 4th time this year. Her husband left her some time ago. Thank you so much – God bless you all!

  16. Sandy says:

Dear Jesus and Mother Mary, help all these people with such heavy crosses. I need the Lord’s strength for what is ahead, but I can at least report an answer to prayer, although a mysterious one as God so often does. My mother’s failing mental health required moving which she has refused to even talk about, for a long time. I was on my way across country to move her somehow, when she fell, broke her hip, and you know the rest, God love her. She will not go home now after rehab, but to “memory care”. The Lord needs to give me physical and emotional strength to empty and sell the house, and do a million things connected with all that, by myself.

God bless you, Father, and all of you! For someone whose atheist father died, remember there is no time in the spiritual realm, in that God can apply your future prayers to someone at the moment of death. Never give up praying.

  17. Singing Mum says:

I’ve been miserable with 3-4 kidney stones for a few weeks. On the bright side, this means I’ve had ample prayer time and ample difficulty to offer in prayer…

Laser surgery to remove the pesky stones is scheduled for this coming Tuesday, and our second session of Chant Camp (woo hoo!) begins the Monday after that.

Please pray for a complete and speedy recovery so I can get back to doing all things wifely and motherly, various singing projects, and lead a great Catholic camp for great kids.

  18. The Cobbler says:

For the repose of the soul of a local security guard who worked in the office building where I work, who died recently (of natural causes, not anything that happened on the job).

  19. mysticalrose says:

Please pray for several families, including my own, that seem to be under spiritual attack. And for a friend who is suffering from depression.

  20. Mariana2 says:

Praying for all. Please pray for me, that the new therapist I will see on Monday may be able to help me.

Also for the repose of the soul of my father who died a year ago, a nominal Lutheran and mocker of religion.

My heartfelt thanks for your kindness!

  21. VexillaRegis says:

Please pray for two pressing problems of mine to be solved! For Fr. M to stop being angry and volatile.
I’m praying for all of you, and extra prayers daily for you, dear Sicilian Woman.

  22. Cyril says:

    Please in your mercy,
I have been out of work for a number of months and am a top candidate to receive a position teaching Theology and Latin at a local Catholic High School. Please pray that I receive is from Our Lord for the good of my family. ( Wife and two small children) Also, my wife may be pregnant with our third. God in His goodness has seen fit to bless us with another life but that makes the urgency of the job that much greater. God love you all and be assured of my prayers.

  23. tradcathwife says:

Please pray for our family we must move soon but we just don’t have the money.
The only places we can find that would meet our needs are for sale and we can’t get a loan. We have 7 children and care for my mom and my ill brother. We are looking to be closer to the parish our family needs too. It’s coming down to the wire for us and I am getting a little stressed.
~Thank you so much for your prayers!

  24. mamajen says:

Four people were killed in a tornado here in Central NY yesterday. Among the victims were a 4-month-old baby girl and her mother. I know the father and other relatives. Please pray for the souls of the deceased, and for their remaining family members. This kind of disaster is unheard of here. Quite a shock.

  25. Reconverted Idiot says:

Just offered prayers for all above. Also, added to my private prayers for the canonization of the Blessed John Henry Newman, and will be lighting a candle at the Newman Shrine tomorrow and praying a rosary for all. God bless all of you.

@SevenSixTwo187 your situation strikes a chord with my own problems. I have sought the intercession of St Joseph for you in particular, having been through similar difficulties in the past I have been greatly strengthened by his help. I pray that you shall receive the same.

Please pray for the protection and continued spiritual growth of the anonymous gentleman who interrupted my pre-mass prayers yesterday to confide in me that he hadn’t been to confession in years and wanted to, so asked whether I knew where/when he could (I was able to direct him appropriately). After mass he came over to me and thanked me for my help with a huge smile on his face, having received holy communion. Please also offer thanks that I was able to share in the joy of seeing a sinner return. I was, and still am, almost overwhelmed at the experience.
