Richard Dawkins and the “rehabilitation” of pedophila – part of the long-term plan

Hey you secular humanists!  Listen up!

I have been saying that homosexual activists will eventually work openly to eliminate the age of consent.  Therefore, they and their fellow travelers would eventually have to “rehabilitate”, in a sense -twisted sense, pedophilia.

From LifeSite:

CANTERBURY, UK, September 12, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) – When Richard Dawkins was 11 years old, his art teacher pulled him onto his lap, reached into his shorts, and fondled his genitals. When he told his schoolmates, he learned he wasn’t alone – the man had abused some of his friends, too. But 60 years later, the famed atheist author of The God Delusion can’t bring himself to condemn the teacher’s actions.

Dawkins told The Times magazine last week that abuse like he and his classmates suffered causes “no lasting harm,” and that “mild pedophilia” or “touching up” shouldn’t be judged as harshly as rape or other crimes.

“I am very conscious that you can’t condemn people of an earlier era by the standards of ours,” Dawkins said. “Just as we don’t look back at the 18th and 19th centuries and condemn people for racism in the same way as we would condemn a modern person for racism, I look back a few decades to my childhood and see things like caning, like mild pedophilia, and can’t find it in me to condemn it by the same standards as I or anyone would today.”

[… Predictably, child abuse victim groups reacted badly… ]

But Dawkins doubled down on his remarks via social media Tuesday, taking to Twitter to argue that “’Mild touching up’ is bad. Raping 8-year-old wife to death is worse…Quantitative judgment vs. black/white.”

When users reacted with anger to the statement, he pressed on, writing, “Is anyone seriously denying that raping an 8-year-old to death is worse than putting a hand inside a child’s clothes? Are you that ABSOLUTE?”

“Non-consensual sex is always bad. But raping an 8-year-old to death is quantitatively worse than ‘touching inappropriately,’” he added. “Shades of grey.” [GREY?]

This is not the first time Dawkins has said something controversial about pedophilia. In his book The God Delusion, he argued that raising children in the Catholic faith is more abusive than sexual molestation.

[…]

I suspect that Dawkins is not going through this exercise with a specific purpose.  I suspect he is just getting even softer in the head and put his foot in his mouth.

Just watch, dear readers, the technique of creeping incrementalism will now be used to change the image of pedophilia.

    A fascinating essay on this topic is in Mary Eberstadt’s book Adam and Eve After the Pill. She argues, essentially, that the Church’s abuse scandal derailed the “pedophilia chic” of the 1960s and 70s (witness the treatment of Roman Polanski in the media before publication of the scandal in the Church and afterward), which ironically may have protected greater numbers of children in the whole. The cultural elite could not turn away from attacking the Church, and in doing so exposed the actual and documented harm to children associated with this kind of abuse across the board.

    I suppose that since it’s been a decade or so since the scandal, the cultural elites are ready to proceed apace with the original plan. Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on us.

    In Christ,

    Google Richard+Dawkins+suicide and you’ll see several people who have read his book “The God Delusion” and then committed suicide. While bringing children up in the Catholic faith tends to encourage them to hope and to find meaning even in the darkest parts of their experience, Dawkins philosophy tends to encourage despair. His writings are abusive to the depressed and vulnerable.

    Sounds like he knows a thing or two about delusion, just not in the way he thinks.

  4. frodo says:

    The following is meant in as charitable way possible:

    Dawkins told The Times magazine last week that abuse like he and his classmates suffered causes “no lasting harm,”

    I don’t know his background. But I wonder if this contributed, in any way, to HIS atheism. Sin, the weapon of the dark lord, has far reaching, long lasting consequences, whose effects are beyond the full ken of man.

  5. PA mom says:

    Obviously it caused him long term harm. He now thinks that it is not seriously harmful to put his hand down children’s pants. I bet he would not have thought that way beforehand.

  6. MrTipsNZ says:

    So lets see….can’t judge historic events by current standards…..gotta take into account context and culture…
    Meaning Dawkin’s previous attacks on Catholic Church and Xtianity in general are irrelevant because they don’t take into account context or culture…..
    Meaning Dawkin’s could possibly be wro…wro…wrong?

    Something tells me he’s on a fast moped to Nutbar City Limits.

    Frodo said, “I don’t know his background. But I wonder if this contributed, in any way, to HIS atheism. Sin, the weapon of the dark lord, has far reaching, long lasting consequences, whose effects are beyond the full ken of man.”

    I would be very surprised if his experience did not contribute to his current line of thought. I had no idea he had been abused. I will pray for healing for him.

  8. Johnno says:

    Victims of abuse often tend to try and rationalize away what was done to them. They just want to forget it or pretend nothing was wrong. And I don’t mean in a ‘I was harmed, but I forgive them’ sort of way, I mean in a ‘nothing bad ever happened, it was all fine, even wonderful’ sort of way.

    A good number of people who identify as homosexual are in actuality victims of some sort of abuse. But instead of delivering justice for them, instead they are encouraged to see it as ‘positive.’ But when emotions and reality aren’t lining up this just perverts the way they look at the world and leads to depression and suicide. Or adversely they want to be so convinced of this lie that they are driven to petition that everyone see it the same way they do, which is what backends teh whole homosexual movement. It’s a bunch of victims trying to escape, and a bunch of perpretrators trying to escape accountability as well.

    Mark my words, if we do not stop this at the root, pedophilia pride parades are coming, and you must hand over your children if they ‘consent’ because they are already knowledgable about sex thanks to elementary sex education/homosexual tolerance programs and Planned Parenthood will be there with a smile and a lollipop to take care of any ‘undesirable’ outcomes.

  9. VexillaRegis says:

    Dear Johnno: I think you are right about everything, except for one thing: We will have to hand over our children even if they (or we) do not consent. Pedophiles and pederasts know what’s best for our children, you know.

    St Michael, pray for us!

  10. Archer.2013 says:

    Are you not aware that Terry Sanderson and Peter Tatchell, leading lights of the gay “rights” movement in the UK are also leading members of the National Secular Society too – along with Richard Dawkins? The two movements are not un-connected. The push by secularists for the removal of Christianity from the public sphere goes, quite literally, in hand with the same goal by radical homosexualists. A radical reduction of the age of consent is part of their agenda…c.f., http://www.petertatchell.net/lgbt_rights/age_of_consent/an-age-of-consent-of-14.htm

    It doesn’t take much to join the dots and see what the overall agenda is that they’re pushing for. All the more puzzling considering their outcry over recent (justified) scandals within the Church. Sidelining the voice of the Church is critical if they are to succeed.

  11. Vecchio di Londra says:

    Most interesting. On the one hand, Dawkins has an early experience of abuse from a father-figure, and apparently suffers as a result a longterm suspended state of denial, an almost childish inability to criticize or distance himself from the experience. On the other hand, as an adult, he locks into a pose of pseudo-scientific insistence on ‘objectivity’ that thinly covers over a basically pathological hatred and fear of the existence of a Creator or a loving Father.

    The two conditions – the (ostensibly) ‘tolerated’ abuse from a teacher, and the pathologically vehement rage with God, are too coincidentally remarkable not to have a causal, psychological link. Perhaps he is simply envious of those who can and do believe…

  12. Vecchio di Londra says:

    PS We should pray for him too, of course. If we can manage to avoid US and French bombs falling on Syria by the power of prayer (which we may well have done!) then even a Dawkins is not beyond the mercy of God in softening hardened hearts.

  13. Cafea Fruor says:

    “‘But raping an 8-year-old to death is quantitatively worse than ‘touching inappropriately,’ he added.”

    Rriiiggghhhttt…Because possibly killing a child’s soul and sense of worth is SO much better than killing the body. And because somehow he’s able to quantify the damage that abuse causes. Rriiiggghhhttt…

    He’s on to something. We should judge “mild pedophelia” by the standards they had back then, pursuant to which there was no such thing as “mild” pedophelia.

  15. inexcels says:

    I’ve always been under the impression that Dawkins is not only evil (insert disclaimer about how we can’t know a person’s heart we can only judge by actions blablabla) but stupid as well. This reinforces that opinion.

  16. Panterina says:

    The first step will be finding some sort of a politically correct euphemism for pedophilia:
    abortion->free choice
    sodomy->same-sex attraction
    fornication->free love
    Whatever they come up with, it’ll be the first crack before the dam bursts.

  17. Johnno says:

    Panterina –

    They’re way ahead of you…

    Pedophilia/pedaresty -> Minor-attracted persons / Intergenerational love

    Legalizing pedophilia – > healthy loving sex education / safe trusting exploration / the rights of childen

    Remember… It’s only a crime, if you ‘feel’ it is! You are only a victim, if you ‘feel’ you are! Try feeling otherwise! And encourage others to feel the same!
