URGENT PRAYER REQUESTS

Please use the sharing buttons! Thanks!

Registered or not, will you in your charity please take a moment look at the requests and to pray for the people about whom you read?

Continued from THESE.

I get many requests by email asking for prayers. Many requests are heart-achingly grave and urgent.

As long as my blog reaches so many readers in so many places, let’s give each other a hand. We should support each other in works of mercy.

If you have some prayer requests, feel free to post them below.

You have to be registered here to be able to post.

I still have two pressings personal petitions.  No, I actually have THREE now.  I can’t get a break, it seems.  Ut Deus….

  1. John Grammaticus says:

    1) Employment
    2) a Family of my own
    3) a family Home

  2. Liz says:

Thanks, Fr. Z. I will pray for your specific intentions.

Please pray for my brother, Patrick, who is in ICU on Life Support with a rare heart-valve infection, pneumonia, multiple other problems and complications. He has not been to church for a number of years, and his prognosis is not good.

Thank you. All of your intentions will be in mine. May God reward you.

  3. Joseph Morinello says:

    1) For a person I know to be freed from a particular affliction.
    2) For a weekly, and eventually daily, TLM to be celebrated in Niagara Falls, and for a certain priest who may undertake this responsibility.
    3) Sundry personal intentions.

  4. AC Roche says:

My husband and I were out for a stroll at lunch when he started having chest pains. We are at his cardiologist’s office now. Please pray for us all!

  5. @LIZ
Praying for your brother. Please, when you are at his bedside pray a Chaplet of Divine Mercy aloud. Here is what Jesus told St. Faustina, “Write that when they say this chaplet in the presence of the dying, I will stand between My Father and the dying person, not as the just Judge but as the merciful Savior (Diary, 1541).”

May God bless you and yours

  6. VexillaRegis says:

Please pray for J who died on this day and for E who left us in December. For a married father of two small children who had a skiing accident last week and didn’t survive.
Prayers for three personal intentions of mine would be highly appreciated.
Please also pray for my battered parish, that our pastor is removed and we get a new good priest instead of the current one.
For all children in the World.

    I will pray for you.

  7. ZCGP says:

For my dad’s small intestine cancer, that he has a swift and complete recovery, specifically that his surgery goes well and that it hasn’t spread to his lymph nodes. For orthodoxy for all priests and bishops. For all those affected by the ravages in the Middle East, especially the children.

  8. aviva meriam says:

I will pray for these intentions.
In your mercy please remember the following:
In gratitude for June and Jennifer’s successful surgeries.
Please pray for T.D: just diagnosed with breast cancer.
Please pray for employment for my husband
    Please pray for my employment

  9. benedetta says:

I’m sorry you have those two and now three pressing personal petitions, Father. I will keep these in my prayers.

  10. NancyP says:

For my best friend’s husband, who was fired from his job (apparently illegally, and the unemployment commission agrees). They desperately need him to find a decent-paying job right away. My friend was also exposed to scabies at work and has been under a lot of stress because of these two events.

I will pray for your intentions, Father Z and everyone.

  11. Cafea Fruor says:

Please pray for the man I met at the bus stop. We talked for a few minutes, and I learned he’s desperately looking for work – and he’s clearly got some developmental disability, so his chances of finding work may be slim, especially in my area, where all the available jobs seem to be tech and/or government security jobs.

  12. jameeka says:

So glad you posted this, Father Z. I would like to ask prayers for a dear family member who is having recurrence of serious health issues. Thank you very much and I continue to pray for your petitions here.

  13. Fallibilissimo says:

For “I” who lost his job last year just before getting married. One year later he’s suffering heavily from depression and the marriage bears the pressures of the situation.

  14. mamajen says:

My grandfather passed away on Sunday. The family is highly dysfunctional, and things have been/are a mess. Two relatives are terrorizing the family. Prayers for peace, and the repose of my grandfather’s soul, please.

  15. Kathleen10 says:

I prayed a Hail Mary for each one of you and your intentions. God bless every one of you and the people who concern you. Hugs to all.

  16. qmoMw80s77 says:

    For…

Infant Zelie (girl), born prematurely at 1 pound 10 ounces. Please pray for weight gain and health. Recovery will be a long haul.

    Peace and healing for Amy.

Thank you very much. I will pray for you. God bless you!

  17. GypsyMom says:

Please pray for my husband to find employment. Other than a short temporary job, he has been out of work for almost two years. He has a final interview for a good job this Thursday.
Please also pray for my dear friend and the conversion of her husband. They have been married 25 years and he has abandoned her and their son for a life of women, drugs, pornography, and playing in a rock band.
Praying for all here, including for Fr. Z’s intentions.

  18. edm says:

    Praying for all these.
Please pray that I, and my c0-workers may find some tranquility in an ever more difficult situation. That our supervisors may realize that we are unable to meet so many demands and that we might thereby be better capable of helping those who depend on us.

  19. KAS says:

I have three personal intentions as well AND Hubby or I need work.

I’m praying for ya’all’ intentions too.

  20. Mariana2 says:

Praying for all the intentions above and later for those below, and for Father Zed’s.

Of you charity, please pray that my husband’s mystery illness may be diagnosed correctly and resolved. And that he may convert.

  21. glomuesh@gmail.com says:

Thanks God and Fr Z I am now registered.
I pray for all the intentions above.
Please pray for peace in my family and country.

  22. JonPatrick says:

Please pray for a one month old baby Mariana who is sick with RSV, a respiratory virus that infects the lungs and breathing passages of babies and toddlers.

For my wife, that the growth on her kidney is benign and that she won’t need surgery. She finds out tomorrow.

For faithful priests especially those under attack for teaching the truths of the Catholic faith.

  23. mpmaron says:

Please pray for my father-in-law. His wife died a few years ago and since has fallen in his faith. He is quite elderly and I hope for his return.

Thanks. I will keep all in my prayers.

  24. hwriggles4 says:

    Fr. Z and Readers:

Please pray for a friend of mine’s son who had a seizure yesterday (Feb 6). His son’s name is Benedict, and Benedict is about 8 years old. Currently, Benedict is in the hospital and doctors are running tests. Benedict is one of seven kids from a strong, well adjusted Catholic family.

“Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, Blessed art thou among women, and Blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now at the hour of death, Amen.”

  25. pray4truth says:

Please know you’re in my continued prayers & sacrifices, Fr. Z! All of these people/intentions have been added to my offerings, too! Please add my intention for our 39 y/o daughter (my step-daughter) who’s been hospitalized for over two weeks due to years of intoxication (friends found her almost dead in her apartment). Please pray for her complete healing and conversion. Offer everything through Our Lady, Trust Jesus, pray with confidence, Trust Jesus, and like St. Padre Pio said, “Pray, hope, and don’t worry.” Oh yeah, Trust Jesus!

  26. Ellen says:

I will pray for all of these requests. Please pray for the repose of the soul of my friend’s mother. She was a devout Methodist who loved God and always tried to do the right thing. Pray for my grandson who will have his tonsils out next Wednesday. Pray for my children who no longer practice their faith and pray for me that I may grow in forgiveness.

  27. KAS says:

I need prayers for my health. I had kidney surgery a few weeks ago to remove what turned out to be a giant stone. I, apparently, am blessed with incredibly pain thresholds as the doctor is shocked that I was not in constant intense pain. She is also shocked that I didn’t need more than 48 hours of pain medication even with a huge stent in place. Takes a lot to shock a urologist.

Anyway, woke up this morning and my lower back is uncomfortable and I feel ill, vaguely ill, the sort where you go do all your work but you are miserable and feel, well, ill. This was what we had before the surgery.

Please pray that this is not related to the kidney! I’ve been drinking the three liters of water every day, and the worry is infection in the kidney.

I have three children 7 and under.

I am job hunting because our income ends in a few months.

I’m sprucing up my volunteer educational efforts to add something closer to current to my resume.

I have no time to be sick!! I need to do well with the projects I am working on, impress potential employers, and find a paying position.

My dream job (using very nearly all my education and acquired skills) would be to be hired to facilitate Catholic home schooling in our Deanery, and to promote adult faith formation. Sigh, alas, there is no such position. The diocese has such a person for educational promotions in general, but the diocese is large and the person has NO clue about the needs of Catholic home schoolers. For those trained in classroom educational methodology, it is very difficult to comprehend how different home education is unless they did it for several children over several years.

  28. Sandy says:

Prayers for you, Father Z, and for all here. Please pray for our son, K, who has lost his faith. Also asking prayers for S, who died Friday, and who loved the Lord with all her heart. The sadness is that she never came back to her Catholic faith. May she rest in peace. At a time such as this I think of all those of other faiths who never pray for the deceased, and how much harm is done. I guess others have to make up for what is lacking!
    God bless you all!

  29. KateD says:

Sidewalk prayer warriors will be in much need of prayer support Saturday, February 11. There will be a pro abortion rally at Planned Parenthood. Many folks will be there handing out prolife information, praying and just making themselves available to answer questions and talk in the hopes of changing hearts.

Pray for conversions….and for the safety of those braving the barrage of insults from the pro abort crowd.

    Thank you!!!

  30. NoraLee9 says:

I will be praying for your intentions tomorrow, offering my Breviary & Rosary.
Please pray for my soon-to-be 20 year old daughter Catherine. Although raised as a Traditional Catholic, she has caught the snowflake liberal disease. She attends a Jesuit University after 4 years of Jesuit HS. I wanted different schools all the way through but she didn’t like my choices: “All they talk about is hell.” The way she’s going, she’s going to end up there. Pray for me too, the G-d will forgive me, because this is obviously, in great part, my fault.
    Thanks all.
